A good combo for the price

Not sure as to why there’s so many negative reviews, perhaps people just don’t know how to use a rod properly I picked this combo up to use locally in the Red River I ended up landing a 34” cat with it having zero issues with either the rod or reel, spooled with 10lb braided line it works great Is the rod Gloomis quality? No, is the reel Tatula quality? No, but will it get the job done, absolutely I really enjoyed using this combo and I would definitely recommend it to an angler first starting out or if you’re like me and just want something to inexpensive to use

I bought this rod and reel for my husband for Father’s Day and like the other review it did not match the marketed picture, however I still purchased the blue one. My husband has only used it twice and yesterday the rod snapped in half while using a top lure. I would give this a zero stars if I could
