Very difficult to adjust. Seemed to need more left to right adjustment than it had . Thought I was going to have to return the scope but I think I managed to get it correct . Time will tell . Probably should have spent more money and purchased a better one .

Q: I have a Slavia 618 air .177 pellet air rifle, dates back to the 1970's would this scope mount to old rifle?

A: Depends if the rifle has grooves on both sides to fit scope mounts. If not will need to be tapped, died, and drilled to accommodate any scope. Better to buy pellet gun scope but will still need grooves. Would need to see picture of rifle where sites are.

Q: Dovetail Question I bought an air rifle (from another store, sorry CT!), and the only description of the scope rail is "Dovetail". Are there different sizes, or will this scope and mount work?

A: No, the L96A1 has weaver or picatinny style rails. A 3/8" dovetail groove is around half the size of the rails on your L96A1.
