When my family staycations at the beach we use this cooler to keep our drinks and charcuterie fresh! It will keep everything cool for at least 24 hours in our experience. I prefer to put the ice into plastic ziplock bags (that can be re-used for other stuff later) to make packing and cleaning the cooler easy. That being said if the ice melts in the cooler all you do is unplug the bottom and hose it out and it’s good as new. Enjoy!

Extremely good long lasting coolers

We have several of these coolers which we use when we go camping and to the beach or for travel for work. They do not leak, they keep everything cold or warm whichever is needed and they hold a lot. They are super easy to clean as well.

Q: is it bear resistant? if not which one is

A: The only cooler that Canadian Tire sells that is 'bear resistant' is the Igloo Yukon series. The Yukon series is certified bear resistant when padlocked. The coolers are built to compete with the more well know 'Yeti' coolers. I was unable to find them on the Canadian Tire website, but our retailer in Whitehorse stocks 2 sizes, 50 and 70 quart.

A: Hello! Thank you for your question. Please be advised that you can put a block of dry ice in this cooler, but we highly advise you to never let the dry ice come into direct contact with the liner of the container. The dry ice should be wrapped in something such as newspaper.
