Brutal. Don't buy it.

DO NOT buy this smoker. I bought it last year on clearance (my mistake) having read the positive reviews and thinking it was fairly priced. Well, I got what I paid for. An absolute lemon. Worked well for a little bit - maybe a few months max - and then it started popping up with error messages, particularly for the ignitor. I followed all the troubleshooting guidelines, cleaned it out numerous times, did functional restarts, everything that they recommended. CT wouldn't let me return it since it was past warranty when the error messages started popping up, so then I had to start dealing with Coleman. After sending emails back and forth for months, they sent me troubleshooting guidelines (which didn't work) and then finally a new sensor and controller (saying that as a gesture of good will they sent it for free, lol). I just re-installed those today, and guess what....same error messages. You shouldn't have to babysit a smoker - you should just have to start it and leave it. I will leave this thing for an hour and go back, see an error message, and not know how long it has been like that. I have just sent an email to Coleman to get a refund. I'm so done with this thing. If I could rate it less than '1', I would. I will never get the time back that I've wasted with this lemon, nor the food that I have ruined because it won't work for more than two hours without coming up with an error message.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Fonctionne bien, mais n'a même pas durer 1 an. La boîte de contrôle ne veut malheureusement plus fonctionner. Nous avons des messages d'erreurs tout le temps. C'est dommage.

Crapped out in just over 2 years

Bought in July of 2021 and by august 2023 all it does is throw breakers. Tried to test it out. Canadian tire was no help neither was Coleman. Never getting a Coleman grill again

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • A: Hello and thank you for your question. You can use any 100% all-natural hardwood pellets that are meant for pellet grills. Never use pellets meant for heaters as they often contain softer wood and other impurities that can limit the effectiveness of the grill and affect the taste of your food.
