Pre-creased reinforcing tape adds reinforcement and crack resistance for concealed flat joints and inside corners. This high-strength paper tape is designed for use with joint compounds to strengthen joints and corners in drywall and plaster finish interiors. It features exceptional wet and dry strength that resists stretching, wrinkling, and distortions while lying flat to resist tearing under tools.The lightly sanded tape provides increased bonding and lies flat for easy concealment, with a positive centre crease that simplifies application in corners.

Invisible joints, but that’s the point.

This paper tape is so unbelievably flat and clean. Super strong and easy to use, I built an entire wall out of just paper and lite machine mud. Afterward I put a shelf on it for my bowling ball collection. Held up great. Flat as a pancake, took paint like a boss. Also good for making lists of stuff I need from can tire. Supports a pretty long list if you need a bunch of stuff. Ink won’t rub off. Not recommended for use as tp. No good for rp’s either, although it can be used for filter material. This tape lays so flat the joints disappear like magic. It’s a CGC product, a name brand that I know and trust. They know the mud game!

Q: Description says good on inside corners. Is it also good on outside corners, which is what I need to cover. If not, do you know another self adhesive joint tape that can be used on outside corners? Thanks

A: We would not recommend the CGC Drywall Paper Joint Tape for outside corners. CGC would always suggest that the end user goes with Paper-Faced Corner Bead or a form of Corner Bead for outside corners.
