My friend recommended it. Apparently the rates of accidents per year is so much higher than we see. I haven't. I have heard of a car on fire and I have seen a car that ended up in the water. I have seen my own car behave really strangely when the battery died it just became like a concrete brick no electricity nothing worked. I guess this tool is for emergencies when it's life or death. You should cut the seat belt and break the window of your car. It is not very bulky. I just placed it in the little compartment between the front seats for easier each. I have never had to try it, but I hope it lives up to its potential for a small cost.

Great little breakout tool, only gave it 4 stars because I wish it had another way to attach besides screws. I want to be able to integrate it into my dash; but I'm not wanting to drill holes through any of my cars to keep them in the easiest spot to grab. Other than that though, they're great. Well made, I've tested and they do exactly what they are advertised to do.
