Cute and functional cat post

I bought this because it was cute, not even realizing that the bird makes tweeting noises. My cat loves it from top to bottom. Enjoys rolling on the fake grass, uses the scratching post daily, and enjoys pawing at the bird on his back. He also sometimes jumps on the top on his way up to the couch. It's still fairly new but he's gone at it pretty hard and so far has held up well aside from the loss of one or two bird tail feathers. Very easy to assemble - just had to screw each part into the next which took about two minutes flat. No other assembly required. Very happy with the purchase, and may even go back to get a second for downstairs, he uses it so much!

Although it technically is 17” high, the scratching post section is closer to 13”. Because the mushroom cap acts as a ceiling, it’s almost impossible for a fully grown cat to scratch it. Great squeaky toy attachment though. Just better for kittens overall.

My cat was scratching my couch - he has four other scratch posts which have not deterred him. He’s a 10 kg orange guy who doesn’t get the shared brain cell often. We got him this today (it reminded me of the Mario games!) and zero regrets. He loves the hanging bird and pretends to hunt it - I will say he has already gotten feathers off but the cord holding it on has lasted and he is putting some serious force on that. The noise isn’t crazy but we will see if it lasts long (it’s a quiet chirp that goes off when the bird is flung around - might be annoying at night). The height is perfect and we put it right beside the couch he was scratching - magically all he can see is this mushroom. Easy to put together, isn’t too big, and it is stable and not scratching my hardwood floors. Would recommend to all cats that love to scratch
