Q: Love it but have a hard time lighting. Is there a trick with the matches. Done. Work better ??

A: I also had a hard time at first. You have to turn the knob to its max flame setting and push in. Once pushed it will light. You then have to continue to hold the knob in for 20-30 seconds to ensure it doesnt flicker out. It does mention this in the manual. If you follow that, you wont have any issues.

A great little unit!

Fits the bill perfectly. With only propane fire pits allowed during the current fire bans this little unit allowed us to enjoy the flicker of a fire while camping. Obviously, care still had to be taken as the unit does throw off a bit of heat. It’s a nice piece of kit to add to our camper.

This is a great idea for anyone that wants the atmosphere of a backyard firepit but doesn’t want to commit a separate space for it. The unit fits in a standard umbrella hole in your patio furniture and uses standard camping propane cylinders. The major downside to this product is the storage. The gas line hookup sticks out below the base making it hard to store standing up. It is full of decorative beads (that come with it) that can tip up. So heads up!
