Tilt mechanism broke in wind gust

Tilt mechanism broke while sitting for dinner under a sudden wind gust. I guess tested in Canada means it was tried. How good a product is depends on the reviews made here.

I bought this umbrella at my local store when the one I had researched was sold out. It seemed to be fine albeit creaky when opened. I just opened it up to get ready for an outdoor dinner and the hinge snapped stopping us from even being able to close the umbrella... I came on the website to check for any warranty and to see if maybe we did something wrong, now have read many others have had this same issue. Hoping I’ll be able to have a smooth replacement process, fingers crossed.

Nice coverage but tilt mechanism broke

Seems the tilt mechanism is a real issue with this umbrella. It broke within 2 months of use. Brought it back to CT and they would not refund me. Would only do store credit or staight exchange since it's a warranty issue. I was not happy about that since I had to buy a replacement elsewhere. The umbrella had great coverage and seemed extremely sturdy. Perhaps its weight is a factor contributing to the issue.

I bought this umbrella 3 months ago it worked fine came home and found it spinning on one side won’t stay up keeps going back to the awning position..cut my finger trying to get it straight up ..any way went back to the store to find out i can’t return it unless I buy something at the price I paid for the umbrella very sad I was liking the umbrella until that happened and the return policy no good either...Don’t buy

J'ai acheté ce parasol le mois dernier et après une semaine la manivelle pour fermer le parasol fonctionnait mal. Nous l'avons gardé quand même mais aujourd'hui un léger coup de vent et le parasol a cassé au niveau du mécanisme pour le faire pencher. Très déçue pour le prix...
