First thing, yes there is a hole in the bottom for your umbrella to go through to a small stand if you put one underneath, but not super necessary as the area is quite deep and clamps where the umbrella goes in. The videos in line show people storing dishes under here which is really weird as they’d get quite dirty through the holes in the weave. But storing some weight to hold the table down (as an umbrella stand) or small bbq propane canisters would work. Good purchase

Great for down at dock. Storage plus table. Saves having to have base plus tables. Added to large ziplocks of sand for extra weight. We are in fairly calm bay. If in rough water I’d add more weight.
