Had this same machine bought 3 yrs ago, cannot get the part I needed to fix it, bought the same one because I now have the old one for parts on this new one...... come on BRIGGS and STRATTON do better with available parts please

J'ai acheté cette horreur en fin de saison il y a 2 ans, ma vieille craftsman de 25 ans ne valait plus la peine d'être remontée. je m'en suis servi très peu l'hiver suivant mais rien n'était réglé... moteur qui @surge2 et doit être utilisé avec mi-choke, courroie de tarière qui fait un bruit affreux, traction qui donne des coups et @power steering@ qui fonctionne seulement d'un côté.
J'aurais dû la remmener sou garantie mais je me suis obstiné à vouloir l'ajuster moi même.
L'hiver passé elle était encore pire coté moteur et j'ai du changé le carburateur...elle a bien fonctionné jusqu'a la fin de l'hiver.
je l'ai remisée complement vide d'essence mais cet automne, elle refuse de partir avec de l'essence neuve... je nettoie le carburateur (encore) et elle démarre avec les mêmes problèmes qu'au début .... J'en ai eu des cochonneries à moteur dans ma vie mais celle là c'est le top, assez pour faire passer un vieux weedeater pour une merveille de la technologie. En plus il faut spécifier que pour changer la bougie ou vider le carburateur, il faut enlever touts les couverts de moteur.
Eviter à tout prix..!!!

Q: I just bought Briggs & Stratton 1696828 306cc. The oil dipstick has no "Add - Full" fill line as per the manual p.13. It is totally blank. Please inform me where exactly I should be filling the oil to without guessing or is this a faulty dipstick?

A: I believe you have a faulty dipstick. Mine is 12 5/8" in length (not including the cap) and has 2 holes near the end to indicate full and low. The first hole is 3/8" from the end and the second 1 1/16". The dipstick is spring steel so drilling holes would be difficult. Suggest you mark it lightly with a grinder or stone. Cheers.

Q: How do I know if the hand grip warmer is working on this B&S snow blower? The light comes on but the grip is not warm to the touch.

A: My light turns on too but can't feel anything with gloves on and I sure aint gonna snowblow with my gloves off. Got one season out of the thing and it doesn't want to run right the second season either.

Q: Briggs and Stratton Elite 1532 Electrical box. There is a 230-volt plug attached to the starter box that cannot be removed, included in the purchase was a 120volt extension cord, connections do not match up, so why give me an incompatible extension cord.

A: Yes, the unit has six forward and two reverse speeds. Reversing is not very fast but even at speed level 1, this unit can run quite quickly for snow cutting. Speed can be further managed with the engine speed that has a slide lever to control the rpm's of the engine. Unit is quite large and cuts a significant path when moderate snow levels are experienced.
