This is a high quality drip coffee maker that has added adjustments for your own personal taste and kind of coffee you use. ( ie temperature of water , bloom time) The carafe is well made and a design that pours well . I got the glass carafe because the coffee usually gets used up within an hour and I like my coffee hot. This unit beats the other manufacturers out in performance and the coffee it makes but of course you have to pay the extra cost. Since I only replace my coffee makers maybe every 6 or 7 years, this makes sense to spend a little more to get more of an experience over the long run. I also bought it while it was on sale for $100 off There is a bit of learning to know this machine, I suggest downloading the manual off Breville's web site . The display is also good for people who need glasses , bright and clear. This is the third Breville kitchen appliance in my kitchen and they never disappoint . The stainless steel design of this machine looks really good as well.

My review is not entirely about this incredible and beautifully designed bit of tech. It is about the other part of basically all technology that does not either get utilized enough or spoken about often. For me, it probably represents the company more than the actual product, and this is the support of the product. Long story short: I got this unit and it was not functioning properly. I opened a support case with Breville about it. It took a bit of communication back and forth for a few days until we eventually ended up doing a video chat so that the support person could see what I was experiencing. Once confirmed, they authorized a new unit on the spot, sent a return authorization for the faulty unit, and shipped the new one out in less than 24 hours. I had to give them a shout out because I used to work in support for many years for a living and I loved when a customer, satisfied with my service, would shout me out. Great product AND support! Get one today!

I have had this a month now and have to say it has not met expectations. Controls are terrible to navigate and the menus need a better explanation. The opening of the carafe is too small restricting access to clean and stains easily. Stainless smudging is constantly needing cleaning. Small pot performance is ok at best and navigating the adjustment for strength and temps is a fiasco. Filter basket cone adapter is cumbersome. I would not buy this again at this price point I expect better from this manufacturer.

Possible Glitch

I wanted an upgrade to the breville drip coffee maker that could also keep the coffee warm after an automatic start. I thought it would be so wonderful not to have to reheat coffee after the school rush. I’m so disappointed it’s hard to put into words. I’ve been using the previous model and I was really excited to give this new one a try. It is the worst. I’ve done everything it says online to fix it and followed all the instructions and it keeps saying remove carafe lid even though the tank is filled to 8-10 cups. The keep warm function doesn’t work and isn’t listed in my custom list like the picture online, even though I purchased the glass carafe version.
