Q: Do they fit in the sockets for halogen lights? I have light fixtures for small 120v 50w halogen lights. I wonder if they would fit into the light fixtures that I have.

A: In regards to the socket question, you should really use the specific bulb type indicated on the fixture. A halogen GU24 is a small floodlight made for track and recessed fixtures. A CFL version will stick out of such a fixture as it is 3X the size. I would recommend that you call the manufacturer at 1 800 361-6761 as they would need to know details on the fixture. You need to provide specifics as to what type of fixture and socket in order to determine a specific bulb.

A: The vendor who makes the T2 0525175 does not make this bulb in cool white. And our General Electric endor doesn’t make a T2 bulb in cool white just T3 daylight.

Save on Energy

When these CFL lightbulbs hit the market, I changed all my lights to them. It really does make a difference in energy consumption, enough to be noticable and save. Also, after several years, I've only had to replace one. Unlike the old style, where I had to repalce one every few months from usage. Sure, there's a few cons - these CFL lights are dim when you first turn them on. That's one reason I can't wait until there's a broader range of LED lightbulbs, as they will be my next light purchase when it's time to replace these. LEDs will use even less energy, light even more, and turn on instanlty.
