Drip Drip

Plan ahead for how much coffee you want. Coffee comes out tasting good and love idea of thermal carafe, coffee stays warm about 3 hours. However, plan an extra cup as that's how much you lose from dripping while pouring. Always a mess, tried pouring multiple ways after reading reviews and suggestions online. Had old version of this machine which lasted 10 years, was harder to clean out carafe but did not drip.

Broke after 4 months. Worked great at first, but then the issues started. Either the basket or carafe is faulty and the water pools up into the filter, causing the grounds to overflow. When it finally goes in, the coffee is filled with grounds. Funny enough, take the carafe out and it does not stop dripping, like it is supposed to. Phoned twice (on hold for over an hour), sent pictures as requested, waited a week with no reply. Sat on hold for another hour today and gave up. My $14.95 coffee pot lasted a heck of a lot longer than this one. Will not buy Black & Decker again.

The coffee maker is okay. The viewing window to fill is nice and location to pour water in is large and easy to do. It doesn't have a brew complete light or signal which makes it hard to keep track if finished. There is a power light which shuts off after 2 hours which seems kind of senseless since the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot. Overall I wouldn't recommend.
