Contrary to what many others hear say , this is a 6 cup rice cooker. it can take 3 cups of dry rice, which makes 6 cups of cooked rice. that's how every single rice cooker works and how it's marketed. And what it does make is great. This rice cooker is perfect for one or two people. Pour in the liquid, add the rice, turn it on and forget. Super easy. very happy with the results

Works well but leaves a layer of thickened rice at the bottom. I prefer the old style that uses steam instead of direct heat but cannot find it anywhere. Does an acceptable job and the price is right.
