Bissell ProHeat 2X® Revolution™ Pet Pro Upright Carpet & Upholstery Corded Deep Cleaner

Broken belt on first bedroom leaving me unable to finish just one room. I followed all directions and prepped the room well. Its also a loud machine and i wear ear protection. Removing the belt cover per instructions broke a tab on the cover. Machine is also very aggressive on soft high pile carpet with no way to turn off or even adjust the brushrolls.

Great machine overall. This is now the fifth machine. However , Bissell have yet to conquer getting the edge of carpet cleaned. I have purchased a separate machine that will do this as I’m in my 70’s and do not wish to be crawling around the floor on my hands and knees to clean the obvious line it leaves. I would have thought they would have sorted this issue out by now as I’ve had a top of range machine from Bissell over the 24 years I’ve been using them.

I recently purchased a Little Green machine and was not pleased with the amount of water extracted. As a result, I did research before purchasing 3588. Although Bissell was recommended by Consumer Reports, I checked Hoover. Hoover reviews said it was better than Bissell, but after watching a U-Tube video demonstration, I knew it would put too much water on my carpets and would not meet my standards for extracting water. Bissell exceeds my expectations! It was easy to use, got up stains, and my carpets dried quickly. I used the "express clean" setting and overlapped small areas before moving to another section. The "clean shot" was convenient for visible stains. I then slowly extracted all of the water out of my carpets. Any water left behind leaves dirt, too. I tried to extract more water by moving in different directions and put the machine against the baseboard to remove dust from the edges of the carpet. I learned to clean the cover often because accumulated dirt can spit out onto the carpet. I did not have to empty the dirty water often as some reviews stated. Although I have no pets or children, parts of my carpet had not been cleaned in 20 years! Cleaning four bedrooms and a large loft was so easy I cleaned coral-colored chairs that had not been cleaned in over 30 years. I cannot believe how nice they look! My final test was Karastan runners that I have on hardwood floors. It is very important to control the water because water that penetrates area rugs can damage the wood floor. I recently cleaned these rugs with my previous carpet cleaner and was amazed how much more dirt was extracted. I am happy I added a brush cleaning tray to my order. The measuring cup that comes with it is convenient to fill the water tank, and a lot of dirt came out of the brushes. I plan to clean the brushes after cleaning every room in the future. My only complaints are: 1. The control switch would be easier to use if it was metal, and 2) the power cord is located too low on the machine and could be longer. Weight is not an issue because I took the brush cover and two tanks off when I carried the machine upstairs.

Absolutely great, I wouldn’t be with it, having 2 pooches, it cleans up accidents really well. This is a must, for not just dog owners, but anyone to keep their carpets pristine!! Just bought the portable pet spot clean pro for stairs etc Thank you Bissell!
