Would not buy

Bought this for pet hair but the pet hair gets trapped in the belt system and doesn't allow the vacuum to work. We've had this for 6 months and replaced belts multiple times and have to clean belt are every time we use it
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: It does do shag carpets so long as the carpet fibres are not in bad shape - it’s such a good vacuum that it will suck the bad fibre away.

Q: I just used this for the first time on a very low pile rug, and I could not for the life of me pull it back towards me. Is something causing this? The rubber underneath maybe?

A: Unfortunately, I can't explain why that would happen but I can tell you that I have used mine on low pile and regular pile carpet and recenently a new and very deep pile area rug and I have not experienced any issues pulling or pushing mine. In fact I'm very pleased with mine.
