I bought this for 50% off which I'm glad I did. My yard is most frequented by Blue Jays and this mix gets rifled through and 75% of it they throw it to the ground. Luckily the finches seem to pick through it at ground level and I have some very interesting grass now growing below the feeder

Decent seed; a bit light on sunflower

A good mix for ground-feeding birds such as sparrows, juncos, doves, blackbirds, grouse - but others that prefer sunflower seed (cardinals, chickadees, nuthatches, grosbeaks, finches, blue jays) will sift through this mix and pick out the sunflower kernels... especially jays, who will quickly empty a feeder full of this mix in search of the relatively few sunflowers. Best bet for the sunflower-lovers is to supplement this mix with sunflower seed or get a separate feeder and include pure sunflower in that one.
