The rod was fine but the reel seized up before I could use it may have had a defect from the manufacturer

Poor quality reel.

The included line is very poor quality. The handle of the reel broke on trying to land a 5lb arctic char, within the first few days of use. Considering a rating for 30lb test line, this was pretty poor.

Caught some striped bass with the bruiser. The reel handle is made of plastic . I took a long thin strip on grey duct tape to secure the reel handle .

A: You can purchase it on our website to be picked up at the Canadian Tire store of your choice (subject to stock availability). We would suggest that the person picking up the merchandise, have a copy of the order when they go to the store.
