I’ve used this particular filter since before I replaced my heat pump more than 18 years ago. And I must say that I’m fully satisfied with this product. I’m a retired HVAC/r technician
What got me turned on to this product was when I was working with the local government more than 25 years ago when this was not available to the local public. Now I Will admit there’s been times that I’ve gone more than 3 months whereas I would clean (brush off the dander and whatnot) to the life of the filter. Still, this filter preformed like a champ. I do my by-yearly inspection and for all this time my air handler doesn’t show its age.

A: Generally it is recommended that furnace filters be changed every 3 months. We would suggest consulting the owner's manual of your furnace for additional information.

Q: Can furnace filters be recycled? I'd prefer to not just trash the filters, esp. if I replace them monthly...is there any way to keep them out of the landfill? Thanks

A: They cannot be recycled completely. The outerframe can be recycled, however, since it is a paper-based product.
