Same dimensions, different size??

I bought this because it was the same dimensions as the one I have in my furnace and this one does NOT fit. It's too tall for my furnace. Extremely disappointed in this product. I will not be buying a filter from 3M again. I took a picture side by side with the same dimensions and it's a whole centimetre bigger. Unfortunately, I misplaced my receipt and cannot be returned. I have already ordered new ones online. My mistake was going to Canadian Tire in the first place for real niche product.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Incorrect Dimensions

Although the packaging describes the dimensions as 16x25x5", the actual width was only 4". There is now a 1" gap that allows dust to flow through. I have always used Filtrete filters. This is the first time time I have had this problem.
