Not Great

I had the previous version of these for almost 4 years and they worked fantastic. I work in a factory and need my music to work. The speakers finally gave out and when i went to buy them again i noticed they dont sell that version anymore. So i got this version which was almost double the price as the last pair. well not only is this pair heavier on my head but the volume is horrible i can barely hear any music or anything and it doesn't keep the noise out nearly as well as the older ones did so im really disappointed with these and wish 3m still carried the older version.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Superior hearing protection with faultless Bluetooth

I've been nursing a 10 year old pair with duct tape and tie downs for the past couple of years, and finally replaced them with these. This pair is very similar to my old workpros except these don't get charged with a USB or charging cord, they instead use double A batteries. I already have plenty of rechargeable batteries, so not a huge disappointment. Actually I've only had to change them once in 2 weeks. Comfortable, good Bluetooth system, and provide superior hearing protection.

Great hearing protection

These are fantastic for music in loud spaces. And while I enjoy them and have a pair for work, and a second pair for yard work (Mowing and weed-eating), man... they are HOT. Wearing them for any leanghth of time is a chore. I feel as though I could dmp sweat out of them after any significant period of use. Maybe a non-plastic ear pad would help?

Great for noisy work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality seems pretty good. The music can get decently loud but definitely not loud enough that you can hear the music from the outside of the headphones. Great for mowing the lawn when you want hearing protection and can listen to music at a good volume. Fits comfortably. The Bluetooth pairing was super easy and the controls for pausing and skipping songs is easy to use.

Q: Do these have an internal rechargeable battery with optional replaceable AA batteries or is it solely AA batteries?

A: Hi Newfie, with this Pro Protect 90546 headset, only AA batteries are compatible. It doesn’t have an internal battery. For our 90542 and 90541 headsets we do offer an optional rechargeable li-ion battery pack – 3M Alpha 1100, but it’s not compatible with the 90546 headsets unfortunately.

Q: Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a defect.. turn these on and they connect at normal volume for a few seconds and then immediately go to max volume until I touch the volume button.. then they go back down to normal volume

A: Volume on phone is set very low.... but headset comes on close to max volume, button on headset announces 4 different volume levels... it comes on max a few seconds after i start the headset
