Product Details

Nothing brings you peace of mind like knowing you and your family are taken care of. Slick, rainy roads and wintry conditions are no match for the Goodyear® Assurance WeatherReady® 2. With its superior wet handling and AquaTred ® Technology, this all-weather tire is the obvious choice when it comes to inclement weather. Now, when the stakes are high on the road, your confidence can be high too.

Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

  • All-Weather Technology features a specialized tread compound to help the tread stay adaptable in all seasons, and achieve severe snow designation

  • AquaTred® Technology features an enhanced tread pattern with sweeping grooves to help move out water and slush for better handling and performance

  • Evolving Traction™ Grooves help displace water on the road for the life of the tire, maintaining grip

  • Unique comfort inserts reduce bumps and vibrations while enhancing steering control for smooth transitions when changing lanes

  • Wheels sold separately

    Good performance

We were looking for an All Weather tires for a trip from Winnipeg to Sudbury Ontario. We were looking for Goodrich tires and they were not available and your representative suggested the Goodyear Assurance tires so we had them installed 2 days before our trip even though there was no reviews of this tire in Snow. During our trip we hit ice, Snow covered Roads, Slush, heavy Snow. These tires performed far beyond expectations. The only instance where I was nervous was while driving in heavy rutting in the road. I would recommend these tires to anyone.

I have had these on since April. It is December now. Fantastic in dry and wet. No worse than dedicated winter tires in snow, yet much much quieter on highway.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Purchased these tires after I researched a number of different options. Decided on the Goodyear brand, excellent traction in the snow. Great ride on pavement too .

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Hi there, does the weather ready 2 tire out perform the cross climate 2 tire on snow and ice? The weather ready 2 seems to be a very new tire and I can't find much information on it

    • A: In one comparison on YouTube the tires ( Cross Climate 2 and Goodyear ) were so close that a “ winner “ couldn’t be chosen. Even a Goodyear Rep. thought the tires were so close that a clear winner was hard to pick. I have a set of Michelin CrossClimates on my 2017Highlander since June 2022. They are still at 7.5/32nds tread depth with a little over 35,000 kms on them. They haven’t seen really deep snow but are capable and predictable in up to 3 inches of snow or slush. On ice particularly black ice, they have done well but I adjust my speed and braking regardless. The comparison I mentioned didn’t test for ice or snow but just looking at the tread design on both tires the Goodyear should be just as good as the Cross Climate. The Goodyear has softer sidewalls ( but not squishy but a quiet tire on the highway) as well as evolving treads where the grooves get wider as the treads wear which should mean better hydroplaning reduction as the tire nears replacement time. The Goodyears are usually a tiny bit cheaper as well.
