A: The centre post diameter is nominally 1.00 inch. The crossbar "loops" are about 7.5 inches from the centre post, so you could hang a 14 inch diameter feeder from each. Leave some clearance for sway in heavy winds.

I'm very impressed with this feeding station! I bought it in June and it has been set up and working great since! The top piece was a little loose but we put a bit of tape on the pole before adding the top and that seems to have worked. I have used lots of different feeders on it and has held the weight just fine even with the birds climbing all over. I deducted 1 star because the poles could fit together better and I would prefer if it had more stakes for inserting into the ground like many other feeding stations I've seen.

This product was easy to put together the entire family had fun setting it up! Every day many many times a day the kids and adults are glued to the window watching the many different birds that visit. With all the hooks it comes with we have 5 different bird seed varieties. What a fun, learning and rewarding experience.

Bird stand

The bird stand is garbage a raccoon got on ours and bent it like an L shape and it fell apart. It's not a very strong bird stand and with only one little stand on the bottom it's not a secure one that stays in the ground either. Don't waste your money.
