How can I benefit from wind and solar power?
Green energy can be harnessed to run an entire home, but it can also be used to power specific energy needs, such as powering only the lights from a cottage or the power tools from your shed. This not only reduces your electricity bill but also the environmental footprint. For peace of mind, you can also use wind and solar energy to create backup power.
Can you have both solar and wind power?
Yes, you can use them simultaneously. We offer a selection of solar panels and wind turbines which can both be used to power a cottage for example.
What do I need to get started with wind or solar power?
To get started, you’ll need either a crystalline solar panel or a wind turbine generator. Then you’ll need a deep-cycle battery and a charge controller. The charge controller ensures that the battery does not overcharge and that it doesn’t empty itself when the solar panel is not collecting energy. Finally, you’ll need a power inverter which turns the battery’s direct current into alternating current and allows you to plug and power different electronics and appliances. We offer a variety of solar panel models and kits with a wide range of wattage. Some already come with a charge controller, a fold-out stand, a voltage tester and much more so you can install your power system almost anywhere with ease.
