Cooking with a Charcoal Grill is a fun way to dine in the summertime and a great way to add loads of flavour to your meal.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Read instructions carefully
Before you light, always be sure to read the instructions carefully. It’s also important to thoroughly clean and remove ashes and grease from previous use.

Measure out charcoal
Prepare your grill by determining how much charcoal you will need for the meal – one layer is ideal for burgers and steaks, and use two layers for roasts and chickens.
Stack in cone shape
Stacking the charcoal into a cone shape makes for the best grilling experience.
1/4 cup lighter fluid per pound of charcoal
Pour a quarter cup of lighter fluid per pound of charcoal over the cone-shaped stack of coals, distributing more fluid to the center than the edges. Let the fluid sit on the coals for 30 seconds.
Light coals from bottom on both sides
Take a BBQ lighter and light the coals from the bottom on at least two sides of the stack.
Let the coals burn until they are white on the surface.
