We will attempt to give you a refund or exchange on every item purchased at any Canadian Tire store when you bring in your original receipt and issued Canadian Tire ‘Money’®. When you don’t have your receipt, we will offer a receipt look-up*.

What is Canadian Tire's return policy?

Unopened items, with a receipt, in original packaging and returned within 90 days of purchase will receive a refund to the original method of payment** or will receive an exchange. Items that are opened, damaged and/or not in resalable condition may not be eligible for a refund or exchange. Click on the tabs below for a list of exceptions and exclusions to our returns policy.

Exchanges

Exchanges are handled in the same manner as product returns. To exchange a product, simply bring it to any Canadian Tire store within 90 days of purchase, in its original condition and packaging, with your receipt and issue of Canadian Tire "Money"®. * Canadian Tire stores can verify purchases made using credit, debit or with the My Canadian Tire ‘Money’ loyalty program within 90 days after the date of purchase.

There are some exceptions to our Returns Policy. These include:

·         Returns, exchanges or warranties on an item without a receipt may not be accepted.
·         A defective item is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty and will be repaired or replaced.
·         Electronics (home audio & video, personal audio & video, cameras & accessories, communications) may only be returned within 30 days. All other rules apply.
·         Auto electronics (backup cameras, code readers, Bluetooth, car audio, GPS, inverters, portable DVD, remote starters, satellite radio) and bike racks may only be returned within 14 days. All other rules apply.
·         Ink cartridges, media, memory cards, books, DVDs, CDs, mattresses, and portable beds may only be returned if unopened. All other rules apply.
·         Live goods must be returned to the original store of purchase.
·         Special order hard parts and specific application automotive parts must be returned to the original store of purchase.

·       Bikes cannot be returned. Free tune up within 30 days with proof of purchase.

Some products at Canadian Tire are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. These include:

·         Gift Cards
·    Hockey Cards
·         Tinted paint and stain products
·         Products cut to length or modified
·         Magazines
·         Firearms
·         Ammunition
·         Fireworks
·         Clearance or final sale merchandise
