Firstly, don’t let the stain dry! Time is against you as wine becomes harder to remove the longer it goes untreated.
STEP 2
Pour salt on the stain to soak up the wine
Then dab the spot with a dampened napkin.

Dab with damp napkin
To avoid making the stain larger, do not rub. Dab inwards from the edge of the stain to prevent smearing.

Use stain remover
Then, apply stain remover to the area and follow the instructions on the package. Don’t forget to wash the fabric according to the directions right away.
