Not worth

"It took lot of time to assemble. While purchasing, it said, most of microwave ovens will fit. But my oven did not fit and it was sheer waste of time and money. Canadian Tire should not be misleading customers by telling that most microwaves would fit. Never buy this product."

Worse Purchase Ever

"Took awhile to put together put a dowel through the side even without hammer just putting two pieces together. Nothing aligns. Item damaged right from the get go. How to put it together is fine and organized but don't use a hammer. I will take back if my store will take it assembled. On sale it isn't worth the headache as the finish is maple and it is just a very thin paper over particle board and was letting go in different areas. It would never last daily use. I did read reviews but with an over all rating as high as it is I thought no problem. I hope my rating helps with the over all rating."

not as easy as i thought

"I've put together tv stands, bookcases etc but this one really took the cake. The CAM BOLTS would not latch. You're supposed to turn it 210 degrees and mine would only turn 30 degrees. If I had a vehicle I would have taken it back to the store. The top shelf is still not secure. The drawer sticks when you close and the doors are not even."

Good, but could have been great

"Assembly was easy, and I was able to do it myself with just a couple screwdrivers; don't use a hammer despite the instructions. Parts were well packaged according to each individual step. Drawer tracks were mislabelled, but with a bit of attention were installed without issue. Glad to finally have more space in tiny kitchen.

Only major complaint is that the cupboard doors (which can only go in one place thanks to pre-drilled holes) bind when opened to about 45 degrees; there's a lot of resistance and an audible snap as the doors rub where they meet the rest of the unit. Might unscrew and re-drill new holes."

Stains and Splotches!

"The other reviewers are correct - this is harder to assemble than Ikea products. Aligning the door hinges is a particularly tricky part. I also drove a dowel through the side by tapping lightly with a hammer, which was disappointing - that's never happened to me before.

The worst thing about this stand is its ability to stain when wet! I have mine in the kitchen (surprising, for a microwave stand, I know.) If you set anything down on it with condensation, or spill, it leaves a darkened stain on the finish as if you'd put baby oil on the "wood". It doesn't come off, either.

Given that one cold drink effectively makes this shelf look junky, I am very very sorry I spent the money on it."

"Well, we are into DAY2 and hour 7 of trying to put this micrwave stand together .. it is 95% done, and we are going absolutely fricking NUTS trying to assemble the drawer runners/drawer .. good grief .. talk about poor diagrams.
So near, yet so far away. I do believe I will have to use the unit without the drawer.
Am suspecting that the runners provided are NOT the proper ones .. so .. now what .. take down the unit and return it ? NOWAY !! Too much time invested for that ..
Live and learn .. PLUS .. this was shown as a Rubbermaid product on display, and the box says
"HomeCollection' by TriLeaf Distribution .."

Excellent Product

"Good quality hardware, well organized assembly, nice finish, fits together perfectly. Even at full price, it's a fair deal.
A word of advice: contrary to the instructions, a hammer is not needed to seat the wood dowels. Plus, you may accidentally drive one right through the board, like I did.
A small oversight - there is no rubber or felt stop for the doors. Otherwise, best MDF furniture experience so far."

This was the Easiest Assembly Ever!

"This was absolutely the easiest furniture assembly ever. Looks great when finished and is an ideal storage cart as well as freeing up the counterspace previously occupied by the microwave. I will not hesitate to by assembly product from rubbermaid because of their clear, concise instructions and step by step packaging!"

"frees up a lot of room, however I found it very difficult to assemble by myself. I found it was just a step up from an Ikea assembly. however, once it was done it was great."

Can this unit handle a toaster oven on the very top of it?

The measurments are looking good but I wonder about the weight allowance for the top.

Answer:

If the toaster oven is less than 200 lbs, it can handle it easily/ The top shelf is very stable when put together as per the instructions.. The sheething on the back, as well as the front top bar stiffens it from side sway.
