absolultely horrid
Really cheap feel, extremely cheap plastic feel. It even feels ugly.
Too tall and skinny, very unbalanced feel to it.
Line cord is way too short.
Mounting base requires you to lift vertically about 3 inches before moving off the base. This means you can't use it under a cabinet, even if the line card was longer.
Same problem returning kettle to stand.
It does boil water, but the spout doesn't work and spills water all over the counter.
Useless on all facets of kettelry. I should return it, but I'm too lazy and don't have the bill. I'll buy another and toss this loser even though it "works".
Summary
Ugly and useless, an unbeatable combination.

First impression good
I have a small counter and bought this today for its small footprint - to replace another cordless which hogs counter space.
Pros:
- Tall and narrow profile, to use less counter space
- Unbeatable sale price.
- I found no problem with the pouring spillage mentioned by other reviewers - unless one is impatient and wants to dump contents quickly.
Cons:
- Base is too light and sometimes can lift off the counter when lifting the kettle
- Heating coil inside the water reservoir - but it only comes up about 1&1/2" from the bottom and is a minor issue. The coil protrudes less than some kettles.

Don't buy.
A kettle only has to do 2 things, boil water and pour properly. This one only manages the first job. If you pour too fast, the water spills out the side of the spout and makes a mess. I've used many kettles, this is the first time they've managed to screw up something so simple.

Good purchase for price
I owned this for about 1/2 year now and have had no problems with it. I like the fact that you are not dragging the cord around when wanting to pour the water. The large capacity is great; fill it up & use it several times before you need to refill it. The only drawback is that the base is so light that it sometimes lifts with the kettle.

Ok for the price
Pro's: lifts off base, good capacity, fast to boil, outside wipes clean easily.
Con's: cord for base is too short, noisy, care needed when pouring as spout is shallow (makes for messy pouring if you are not careful).

Love the kettle!
I was so excited to receive this kettle as a gift! I love that the base plugs into the wall, but the kettle is cord free allowing you to walk anywhere with it to use the boiling water in your baking, or cooking, or cleaning.
