Not worth the money.
This is a complete waste of time. It is more practical to buy a small food chopper for $10, which does the same thing, and is a lot easier to clean up. The slap chopper is impractical, difficult to clean and hard to use with certain food items.

Cheap make, but you get your $20 worth
We have bought two of these so far. They each lasted about a year before they fell apart. Yes the food does get stuck up in the blades but you just pick it out and continue slap-chopping. The food guard is a waste. It broke the first time we slap chopped on both units. It does it's purpose and for $20 we got out money's worth for the year. It only takes 5 mins to chop everything for a spaghetti sauce instead of 20-30 mins. I'm hoping that the company will update this model and use better plastic and a better design. Each time the slap chop broke it was the metal blades that came off the unit. They need to come up with something better to hold it together and a better food guard.

Piece of Junk
This is an absolute piece of junk. Used it twice. Both times it didn't chop very well as blades kept jamming. third time i tried to use it it broke. if you want a really good chopper get the one made by pampered chef.

It really chops.
Safe alternative to the regular knife. It works specially if you need more like chunks. Previous cutting in smaller sizes is needed to avoid big pieces being stuck in the blades.

Slap Chop is a handy kitchen mini tool
Great for finely mincing garlic, ginger, onions etc. The more you slap the finer the chop. Beats using a food processor for small quantities. It's easy to use and clean - well worth the price!

Wouldn't waste my money!!
I was so disappointed with this product. I had purchased a Pampered Chef one for my mom and she loves it. It works very well. So, I thought how bad could this be...commercial makes it look good and that is about it! I used it twice and threw it out!!! I used it to chop onions, which I pre-cut into big chunks and it all got stuck inside, which jammed the blades from moving up and down to chop. So what is the point! Don't waste your time or money!

Slap Chop? Slap Break?
Ok so I went out bought got home, rinced everything, put it together like the pictures shows, hey I can follow pictures, so it won't chop cuase the food guard is guarding the food. I slap it once, slap it twice, hear a snapping noise - the plastic food guard snapped now its no good. Used it without, everything gets caught up in the blades - live and learn right? Save your money, you already gotta chop it up small enough anyway ... get a real food processer ...

Surprisingly good
I was pretty critical of this item because it seemed like just another cheap TV gimmick item. It's actually not a bad little gadget. It's not high power by any means but it's well made and can chop a lot of different foods. A nice addition to the kitchen.
