Everything Sticks!!

"I like this pot, it's nice and solid. It's red. It cooks food well.
But everything sticks to the bottom. It's not a little amount of food that sticks, it's quite a lot. Very annoying."

Terrific Product

"I read about the Mark Bittman-no knead bread. I like to make things from scratch however I seem to have trouble kneading bread dough. I liked the simplicity of the recipe and I was dying to try it - only problem; it required a dutch oven/casserole pot with lid.
I looked in the Canadian Tire flyer (I buy all of my kitchen products from Canadian Tire) and here was the answer - on sale even. I was back home with it within 20 minutes.
I have made perfect breads with crispy crusts, tonight I'm making lemony Greek potatoes, I've made spanish rice, stews yum. This is a nice heavy dish, it looks great and prompted me to buy the other red Kitchen Aid dishes in the series. I have had them for a while now, use them often and they are all are all durable and very easy to clean."

Durable and versatile cast iron cookware

"This, and the other KitchenAid cast iron cookware products of varying sizes and colors are all excellent quality pieces of cookware.

They are cast iron, coated in enamel.
The interior is very easy to clean, and even stuck on food will easily wipe away after soaking in a little warm soapy water for a short time.

Never put this cookware in the dishwasher.

The only areas where the cast iron is exposed, is around the rim of the pot and lid. Be sure to dry those areas extra thoroughly as cast iron doesn't like to remain wet.

The handles on the pot are cast iron and part of the pot itself. The handle on the lid is very sturdy and bolted to the lid.

I have cooked whole chickens, hams, beef roasts, stews and other things, and they all cooked perfectly. This can also be used as a slow cooker on your stove top, but be aware that is is very heavy, and the bottom may not be suitable for glass or ceramic cooktops.

Properly cared for, this is a piece of cookware that will remain in your family for decades."

Monster pot delivers as advertised

"This is a fabulous pot if you can lift it. It's large and obviously built to last. Ideal for doing large batches of soup or sauce or large pot roasts. Once heated, it takes a very low temperature setting to keep it hot and the heat is really well distributed around the base. Clean up was a snap. Do NOT scour this pot. Let it cool down and if anything is stuck - just let it soak in hot soapy water until you can wipe it clean. It's a favourite of mine. Highly recommended!"
