Pleased with this set
My friend bought a 86 Jetta with the head off the motor. There was sludge and rust in the head bolt holes. I bought this set and chased the threads and blew the junk out with my compressor. I feel the head gasket would not have been torqued accurately without doing this. That is important when changing heads to get the junk out of the threads and bottom of the hole. This worked great and has some neat features that I was surprised to find. It has more than one type of thread option to choose from. So they include a gauge to measure the threads so you don't mess up. There is a hand screw for tight areas. Use thread oil when working to keep things sharp and this set will last a long time.

Good Set, One Step Next Time
This set has helped me out of many troubles, and quality seems fine. It does, however, seem to have gaps in the sizes, and often I find myself needing bigger sizes. My pet peeve is the design of the die holder-- too complicated and finicky. For the price I shouln't complain, but my next set will be one or two steps up.

Works great, the dies are a pain to get out of the box though. I wish the "T" handle came with a handle though!

soild buy
Bought this kit a few months ago and am very pleased with the quality of this product. The durability is great still works great after many uses. Great buy and a steal when on sale the only thing wrong with this set is that they sell a 71 pcs set, next buy if I ever have to replace this one.

Mastercraft 60-piece Tap and Die Set
i bought this set a few years ago,although i dont use them very much they are sure handy to have around.thought i had every tap id ever need untill today when i needed a 1/8 npt tap.would be nice to see a set of the most common npt tap,s from mastercraft.
