Does what I need
I bought this 1200 watt generator to run a 10 amp battery charger and hoped it would run a fan as well. It does both at the same time.
I needed something to charge my batteries. I camp away from power for weeks at a time and run my camper furnace & lights.
It's quieter that I expected. It will be perfect for backwoods camping. Not sure about how long it will last as I have only just purchase and tested it.

Amazing little generator!
Bought this half price, originally bought a duracell 1000 watt gen for $350 and saw this go on sale. Started right up, ran it for about an hour tried out many different loads, even my wifes hair dryer. It worked great. I already have a 400watt Champion that I love this was bought for my tent trailer. Champion is great quality for the price!

Basic Power
This generator is good for tailgate parties, camping, and basic lighting. It is small, light weight and portable. Let us keep in mind that it is only 1500 max surge watts and max continuous 1200 watts. A hair dryer will consume the entire output of this generator, and most small appliances will also.

glad i only paid 200 for the 1500 watt
1st one I bought the engine gave up after 40 total hrs,it took 10 weeks for them to fix it with a new motor from california. there were 2 more come into the repair shop after me with the same problem. the repaired unit worked fine for 30hrs and now this one won't start !. So it goes to their shop again.I wish I could just have my money back CT.

Renewed Faith in Mankind!
Thank God! The power went out!
My smart meter told me the wife may be leaving if I didn't purchase a generator.
She's a "pretty", good wife!
After a bit of research I figured this generator would likely do the trick. SO FAR, SO GOOD!
I put some premium unleaded gas,synthetic oil, and a performance spark plug in the machine, built a sound proof box (plywood, fibreglass pink, 2x4's and a bit of silicone) and last night fired her up for the first time!
Very Good! We have a 24 foot extension cord with a surge protector power bar attached to the end and ran 4 house hold lights and the computer (all the wireless,etc) It worked just fine.
This morning we plugged in freezer and then the fridge. The generator worked great!

Disappointing Product
Just a short note to say how disappointed I am with your product. I live in Haliburton, Ontario Canada. Ontario hydro had a planed power outage Nov 28 for approximately three hours so this was the first time I got to use my new generator which I bought in August and the first one I had ever owned. I started it up and plugged in one floor light the TV, and the DVD player totalling maybe two hundred watts. and settled in for the evening After two and one half hours it quit, no voltage on the meter, the motor runs fine so far. Thank God we burn wood and did not have to use it to power a furnace. Taking this to get it fixed is an hours drive plus one way, and with winter upon us it will sit in my shed until whenever.
I don't know what else to say, except very disappointed and will advise anyone looking for a generator not to buy a Champion.

Nice small inexpensive quiet generator
Bought it this summer when a tree fell across house power lines. I used to have a 5000W generator but it was so loud I dreaded starting it. This little unit is really quiet (I'm sure there are quieter, but not at this price) and starts on the first pull, takes regular gas without oil mixture, and is light and easy to handle. I put it on the far side of the house from where I work, and could hardly hear it.

does what the reviews said it would
I had outer 1200 watt gen's and they would not run my 18.2 cube foot refrigerator , even bye itself.
This one would.
as far as loud....it is a lot quieter than lawn mower.
I was impressed when, I put oil and gas in it and, it started the first pull .
Durability not sure just got it 09/26/2011 it sure does look well built, and it started first pull.
if you don't wont 2 spend a lot of money on a gen, and you can transport it easy, then get this one.

A great little generator.
This is a very nice compact generator that's very easy to transport. It has a easy pull starting system that no one should have any problem starting. It says 10 hour running time on a tank of gas but i found it to be more like 11 or 12. All in all at $200.00 on sale this was a great buy.

Works Great
Great generator for the price. I waited for it to come on sale for 50% off and got it for $199. I tried a bunch of tools on it in my garage. Skill saw, drill, sawzall, drill press and trouble light. All worked no problems at all. This is a great generator for the price. Only downfall is it is a little loud so it is not camsite friendly, but that comes to be expected for the price.
