"This tool will save you gas.

Whenever you need a shorter wood SCREW just use a pair of these to trim it to length! Will save you lots of trips to the hardware store.

Don't expect to cut a machine bolt and be able to thread a nut onto it though - the thread will be distorted. Technically this should only be used as a 'bolt cutter' if you are trying to destroy a bolt.

You may also use this tool to cut unhardened chain (like dog chain) or similar things. It can also come in handy to cut some locks when you lose the key or accidentally get locked-in a quarry with your car."

Fine bold cutters

"We bought a 12-inch one years and years ago. It held up well for cutting nails, screws, fence wire, cable, and small bolts and locks. It works great for cutting these types of items, but we pushed it too far when we tried to force it to cut a standard combination lock. We used a hammer and vice grips to push the blades through the lock. This wrecked the little bolt that acts as a hinge holding the two sides together. What we should have done was buy a larger one (24 inches) for that job, not forced the little 12 inch one to do the same job. Anyways, we are still impressed by these bold cutters and bought ourselves a 12 inch and a 24 inch models as replacements. We just recommend you use the right size tool for the right job."

"I have 3 different sizes of these bolt cutters (30, 18, 12). They are a great value, especially on sale. They are very well constructed, easily adjustable, and just as easy to use. Excellent choice for bolt cutters."

"Very good bolt cutter. I have two different sizes and use them often. They cut through the toughest steel with no damage to cutters. Good quality. No complaints here."

"i got 30in model,it works good with alot of leverage i used it to cut chains.fences,ect.i did have to sharpen the blades as they come thier not sharp but dull.mostly for durability i gather{works better sharpened}.i was going to put a iner sleave to the handels to thicken-up it up,but they have not bent yet."

Light and well built

"I mostly use this tool to cut 12 and 14 gauge steel wire and so far this tool is doing very well for this job. It's also a useful tool to cut chain and fence to the right size or for removing a lock if you have lost the key."
