Great little cutters

"They work fine for a million little things you need cut, I leave them in with my pliers and side cutters, no need to put them elsewhere like with the big ones. Easily goes through softish steel, can do big nails too, but they are not ideal.

My only issue with them is that the part in the middle that keeps them closed while in storage always seems to break, at least it did on the two I bought. Very quickly too."

Great Little Cutters

"I bought these for cutting 12 and 14 guage high tensile wire when I'm stringing vineyard wires. I used to use ViseGrips or a fencing tool, but my wrist and elbow became sore after many hundred snips. These bolt cutters have a big mechanical advantage, and they're small enough to slip into my tool belt easily. To open the jaws you just have to hold the tool vertically and squeeze: this is great when your other hand is holding 200 ft. of tight wire."

Great little cutters

"These mini bolt cutters are a great idea. Though not really appropriate for bolts, they work great for softer metals. They are great for smaller nails, provided you can get a good grip. Lots of applications for these mini cutters when you think outside the box."

Answer:

The mini bolt cutter (SKU 58-2001) is not able to cut 2/0 AWG copper wire because of its capacity, 1/8" (3.1mm) at maximum. The 2/0 AWG wire measures 0.3648” (9.27mm).
