Great saws We have the 12 inch saw. We use it camping and find it's lighter than any axe and more effective than a hatchet. We mainly use it for gardening, using it as a pruning saw that makes fast work of any branches. The only downside is that it can't get into tight spaces because of the bow. We even used it as an emergency hacksaw and to flush cut some boards on the deck. We use the 24 inch one for firewood at home. It's much safer than an axe. November 20, 2010

I bought this bow saw in order to limb up a few trees, to cut up fallen branches, and to clear areas overgrown with brush. I am slow using it but as a result, it is very safe. I can easily cut through soft wood. I am very pleased with this inexpensive bow saw. April 12, 2008
