Don't buy this one!
Purchased this saw yesterday at Canadian Tire. I read the entire owners manual before using it even though I have been doing my own firewood for 7 years. It has the same problem as a lot of other people, it won't oil the chain. Searched on the web and discovered a website dealing with this issue, which has been visited over 1000 times! Called Husqvarna and they said they will call me as soon as they have a dealer in the area. I will try to return it tomorrow.

Good Saw
This is a decent saw for the home owner. For windfall clean up or light firewood sawing. The difference in quality can be felt when handling one of these small Husqvarna saws by the robust powerful feel of the engine and the low vibrations. There are lower priced saws available, but while my neighbour is pulling on his Poulan to start it, and trying to keep it running, my Husqvarna is humming through cut after cut. The engine is quick reving and cutting speed is decent. The throttle control is excellent and the S56 chain is well matched to the bar and the engine. This saw is light enough and manouverable. Used this saw to make small yard furniture out of Hard Maple and the saw ripped the maple lengthwise. Husqvarna has a reputation for durable saws.

Starting issues
Nice small saw. Can be EXTREMELY difficult to start if it gets flooded. I have found it starts much easier if you don't use the primer bulb at all, even when cold. Just do 2 pulls with the choke on and on the third turn off the choke and it should start.

very good
I have had a Husky 36, for 14 years the other day it quite on me, very reliable saw, which I put it through the pace. So off to ctc and replaced it with a 236 and am very pleased with this unit. I looks as good as the one it replaced!

Oil Pump DOA
Reviews were good on CT, I had saved up $60 in CTC money so I was getting a good price. Filled it with pre-mix and winter bar oil. I started the saw and let it idle for a few minutes. rev'd it up to make sure it was lubing properly. No oil coming out. Let it run for a few more minutes. Still no oil. took the bar and chain off to check oiler hole. it was clear. Hopefully I can return it tomorrow and not have to send it in for repair. I need to clear some bush this week. Not a happy camper. It seems to be a common problem after a year or two with this model on the internet.
