Top quality saw
I bought this table saw on sale at $319. The saw was mostly preassembled with just the blade guard, kick back device and fence to be installed. I immediately put the saw to work ripping a 19" x 18" piece of MDF from a 4' x 8' sheet and then mounted the saw on to the smaller piece and then affixed it to the Mastercraft portable two height stand. It was more than I wanted to spend on a table saw, especially with the Mastercraft being on sale for $179.00, with the portable stand but the assembly reviews on that one pretty much put me off. The Dewalt saw itself is well built and easy to use, with excellent safety features. As I already own a sliding compound mitre saw, I wasn't interested in the bevelling features of this saw and am using it primarily for ripping. I immediately replaced the stock blade 24 tooth blade with a 60 tooth because I'm mostly working with hardwood and needed cleaner cuts. As a female DIY, I was looking for something that was going to be my first and final saw, something that was easy enough to pack around, simple to use, durable and this saw really fit the bill on all these points. Money well spent and no regrets over the extra cost as I'm pretty sure this saw is going to go the distance for me.

Has everything
This saw is excellent for so many reasons: it is sturdy yet reasonably portable. It was easy to set up and works well with little effort required to set up. The fence moves easily/ The Miter is flimsy and you will need clamps and support to really cut on an angle. Having said that, I was able to cut 45 degree angles perfectly on 2 X 4 cedar. I suggest that you will need a miter saw to accompany this table saw - don't believe people who tell you the table saw can do everything a miter can.

Yes....It miters to me!!
Great saw in every respect other than the cheesie miter Dewalt sells you with the saw. Everything else has a ring of quality to it other than this piece of cheap plastic that, as a bonus, gives a person migraines trying to read the degree graduations.

Best table saw at Canadian Tire
I usually economize when it comes to tools and picked up a MasterCraft table saw on sale for a good price. Like a lot of reviewers, I found it was okay saw, but just okay. I ended up returning it a week later, revised my budget upward, and settled on this model.
Keep in mind I'm an average homeowner, not a pro, but here are my observations after owning this saw for a year:
1. Accurate fence, easy to adjust.
2. Adjusting the angle of the blade is easy and it locks into place firmly. (This may not sound like a lot, but I struggled while turning the knob on the MasterCraft.)
3. "Truing" the blade is straightforward.
4. The miter bar and slots are a bit loose, but not as bad as another model I tried.
5. The dust collection features works really well. Hook up a 2 1/2 inch shop vac, and you won't be sweeping up a lot of sawdust.
6. Great blade guard and kickback protection.
7. Compact size make it easy to store and carry around.
8. The "roll bar" base makes it pretty stable if you are going to use this saw on a workbench or stand.
This saw is about $100 more than a comparable MasterCraft model, but the higher price is worth it because of the ease of maintenance. I don't know if a contractor would find it useful on the jobsite. For a homeowner who makes shelves, cut down some 4x8s, or carve out a dado, this saw performs great and is easy to maintain.

AWSOME SAW
I LOVE THIS SAW. LOTS OF POWER, COMPACT, LIGHT WEIGHT. THE FENCE WAS THE SELLING POINT FOR ME. VERY ACCURATE AND SO QUICK AND EAST TO ADJUST. GREAT WORKSITE SAW.

Very useful portable saw!
This is an excellent portable table saw, great for home renovations and small projects, I have used it for baseboards, and cutting wood for framing walls.
the set up out of the box takes less then 10 minutes. and comes with everything you need to get started to work.

Execellent Purchase
This is a top notch product. You'll never be dissatisified with a purchase of this quality. The price may be higher than other table saws however, this will far out perform your expectations.
