Love it!
Excellent grinder! Enough power for home use.
Make shure you have a clean power source, or get a sturdy line filter to keep the grinder going.
The light bulb must be 40w max, the anti-vibration type. A regular bulb won't last more than 15 seconds..

Great Value
This bench grinder is a great value. Well constructed, durable, heavy and powerful. It is easy to put together and the magnifying glass is a great touch.

perfect for medium duty chores
This bench grinder is a very good buy for the money, I personally swapped out the coarse wheel for a polishing cloth wheel, and that increased the possibilities greatly. The guards that come with it are very strange indeed, I have not found out how to angle them, they appear to be set to just sit 90 degrees to the wheel at all times, no matter since most of my work is done freehand. This tool has seen plenty of use, and has stood up wonderfully, also with 3 years guarantee from mastercraft, I certainly felt better about buying it. Overall, can't go wrong for the money, it will do its job very well.

Bearning issues
I have owned this product for about 6 years now, and have not done much grinding on it. The little amount that I have done was simply light clean up and tool sharpening. The bearings have begun to wheen and chirp. Luckily for me, I am skilled enough to change the bearings for a premium quality Japanese/domestic/european bearing. However not many are willing or have the skill to do so. I can not speak about the newer versions, perhaps they have rectified the bearing issue.

Handy..
For the most part, I've just been using this for sharpening my lawnmower blades and wood chisels etc. Works great ! On occasion, though, I have used it for other things that require small amounts of metal to be removed... the push lever in my storm door for instance. This grinder has saved me alot of time and energy . Despite my limited use, I still consider it to be a worthwhile purchase because let's face it, nobody really enjoys sharpening and/or buffing. The sooner you get those dreary maintenance jobs out of the way, the sooner you can move on to something you really enjoy !

Great home grinder
Have used this grinder for sharpening mower blades, cleaning up rusty metal (with optional wire brush wheel) etc. and it works flawlessly. Probably wouldn't want it for commercial work but a great tool for home! Don't know how I did without it.
