Broan Allure II 300 CFM SS Range Hood
I always purchased Broan products because they build with the highest quality one could find. Over the last couple of years their quality and reputation has staidly declined to the point I would never buy their products again. This is just not me saying these words but many in my town.

Excellent product
I got this stainless steel range hood 3 months ago and I'm very satisfied. It works great, it's fairly quiet, I love the design and the features. The only downside is that the fan is located on the left-hand side so the left side seems to have more efficient when it comes to steam suction. Also I like the fact that the fan filters are dishwasher safe.

extremely satisfied
I wanted a range hood to match my stove and had no further interest. What I got exceeded all my expectations. The sound is barely audible, the suction is strong and I can put the filters in the dishwasher. They came out great.
The light in front really brightens up the whole cooking area and it looks good too.

Just ok
The blower is off set to the left and most of my cooking is on the right. I wish they have 2 blowers on both side instead.

Quieter and Functional
Unit is quieter than many other models, and was relatively easy to install. Smooth lines of exterior make it easy to keep clean and filters can go in dishwasher. 3 light levels are nice for cooking. On low level, the light is a nice ambience in the kitchen when working lights are not needed. Fan will go on automatically if there is a lot of steam and you have not turned on. You can't turn it off if it does this.

Great Model - Great Price
This range hood replaced the existing, standard model, that was put in when we built our house. We never turned on the fan in our old unit - the noise level was too loud (it had a sound rating of 7.5 sones; the Broan Allure II has a sound rating of 0.9 sones!) It's very difficult to hear the fan when it's on speed setting 1. Setting 2 is still fairly quite; setting 3 is loud (but still not as loud as my old fan! There are 3 light settings to choose from (and I went with halogen bulbs, which are not included in the box). Installation was very easy (because I had an existing fan already installed). Wiring is easy; one black and one white wire, plus the ground. I had originally purchased the Allure I when it too went on sale, but I returned it the next day in favor of the Allure II. I didn't like the toggle-style buttons on the Allure I. The Allure II has electronic style buttons. Also, the Allure I operates at 1.5 sones, and has only 2 fan and light choices. Although the Allure II is expensive, you get a lot for your dollar. Oh...the Allure II has a heat-detection sensor built in to the unit that automatically turns on the fan (to the highest setting) when the unit detects too much heat coming from the stove. I had all four burners on (ceramic top stove) and still wasn't able to trigger the sensor. The Stainless Steel unit looks great in my kitchen. You won't be disappointed with this range hood. One word of caution: you should remove all pieces of jewellry when handing/installing the hood, so as to not scratch the face of the unit; you'll thank yourself in the end.

Broan Allure II 300 CFM Range Hood, Stainless Stee
I had to replace our aging Range Hood and we got a new stainless steel stove so I needed a new range hood to replace the old white one.
Although quite expensive, this Broan AllureII was a perfect fit. Great lighting, low noise 3 speed fan, sturdy construction and good looks make this range hood the right touch for our kitchen. Can be vented outside or left alone and comes with a big charcoal filter.

Never knew what I was missing!
This range hood is amazing because it is just so quiet - you really don't know it is on. There are 3 fan speeds - I use the first 2 and you can barely hear it. Their is also 3 buttons for different light control. They are great because you don't have to blind yourself while cooking. The lightest one is actually great at night when all the other lights in the kitchen are off - it makes the kitchen look so nice. Sometimes I forget to turn the fan off when it is on setting 1 because I forget that it is on.
Very easy to clean - there are two very big filters.
I used to avoid turning the range hood on as the noise just annoyed me while cooking. Now that is not the case anymore - I love turning on my Broan Allure II!
