Hard to find nails

"As far as the nailer is concerned it works very well and it has many little features that are useful but......I was just at my local store to get some nails and they no longer have any nor are they going to order anymore,they told me try at RONA's lol
On top of that they have 3 nailers on shelves,one would think that they would stock what they sell
Anyway it is a good gun but now i have to try and find nails"

Excellent Tool

"Bought this on sale as I was tiered of renting it.

I have installed hardwood floors throughout the house. Baseboard, chair rail, wainscoting etc.

Works flawlessly. Highly recommend."

Great Finish Nailer

"I purchased this about 6 months ago and have used it on numerous projects, ranging from crown molding, fixing my kids drawers under their bed and numerous other home DIY projects that require slightly thicker/stronger nails than my brad nailer.
This is pretty amazing. I say amazing, because I got it on sale and when comparing the value vs other framing nailers, this fit the bill and provided a lot more features.
It's certainly built with quality. Slightly heavy but expected for the 15g. Requires no oil, which is a bonus, stud finder is pretty accurate, laser is good too but I rarely use it. It requires very little air.
I have a small 1G Dewalt compressor that I use with this when I don't want to lug around my 15G and I can fire about 15 nails before it kicks in, which is more than my brad nailer.

Overall, I recommend this, especially when it goes on sale.
I find that your local CT store may have it on sale not following a nation wide sale, so ask them :)"

Great gun

"I bought it for hardwood and building projects about the house. It was half price when I got it over a year ago and recommend it.

As mentioned below, CT part numbers for nails are as follows: (Although I don't like the idea of proprietary nails, giving the gun a bad review because you couldn't find the parts is a bit goofy)

1.5" nails - #58-7865 - box of 1000
2" nails - #58-7866 - box of 1000
2.5" nails - #58-7867- box of 1000"

"I can't give that tool a real rating cause I couldn't find then nails to use it....don't make any sense. I looked everywhere in my area and couldn't find one nail. Returning for another brand that carries nails.."

Great purchase

"I bought this for finishing work on my basement renos. It was the first air nailer I've owned and it has not disappointed. I have used over 1000 nails with only a couple of jams, easily fixed due to the flip down head design. It is durable and the depth adjustment feature works smoothly. Haven't used the laser very often; I don't find it particularly accurate, but this is a great nailer without it."

Great purchase

"Excellent gun for a terrific price. Only problem was finding the nails. According to Campbell Hausfeld, this is an item exclusive to CT so they're the only source of nails, currently. Most stores, however, don't know the codes for the nails because their computer description is too vague to search inventory. So, here are the CT item codes:
1.5" nails - #58-7865 - box of 1000
2" nails - #58-7866 - box of 1000
2.5" nails - #58-7867- box of 1000
Have fun and never, NEVER nail your sleeve to your workpiece. I have a shelf unit with a shirt attached to it now. Just kidding..."

Nailer works great

"Nailer works as advertised, laser is great help and wouldn't buy one with out it for things where placement matters. Hard to figure out what nails to buy at the store but called CH and they told me the skus which are 58-7865 for 1 1/2" 58-7866 for 2" and 58-7867 for 2 1/2" so went back to the store and they were there no problem. IT is a CDN tire brand nail in a blue box with DA style 15 gauge on the outside. comes in qty of 1000. Can't buy them at any other stores in cda that I could see. Nails were located where you can buy accessories for air products."

Great new tool

"I have a small (1 gallon) compressor and was a little concerned about this gun. It has performed beautifully and after working through the manual, I found it very simple to use. I appreciate the warning as I get low on nails. I would like to see CT carry the range of nails for this gun.Good quality at a good price"

This is a 15G nailer, so you'll need 15G nails that are easily found at your local CT store

What is "35 degrees" in a "35 degree" nailer? The angle between the tool and the magazine?

Answer:

The degree of the nail/nailer is the degree at which the head of the nail is at in regards to the shank or body of the nail. ALL nailers take a generic 30-45 degree nail EXCEPT Bostitch Framing Nailer which specifically states 28 degrees. For instance, if you own a Mastercraft finish nailer that is 30 degrees, you can use the Paslode 34 degree nails for finish nailers. You can also use Paslode framing nails in all brands of nail guns, except the Bostitch which has been designed to take only the 28 degree Bostitch nails.

Which nails (specific product #s) are compatible?

Question:

I am trying to determine which nails are compatible with this gun. It lists that it supports "15g 35°D clipped head angle finishing nails", but a search of the CT website does not find any nails.
