very pleased with this nailer, got it on sale for $79.99, works great, no complaints at all. well worth the money,especially on sale.

ok
I was ready to return this as it was jamming almost every second nail then i realized i was using 18 gauge nails and not 16 gauge when i put in the right nails it seem to be ok but it does double fire at times. it is not made for heave duty use but for small projects it is fine

Works Great!!!
I returned my 3 in 1 Mastercraft nailer for this one because the 3 in 1 was absolutely useless! This nailer doesn't miss a beat. get it on sale and you can't beat this nailer!

Not a bad tool choice !
A dissatisfied guy from Jan 4 but maybe hes got mistaken or mixed up with another model, I say this because I purchase the Product #58-8548-4 2 in 1 nailer - $99.00 less 70% off and I agree with his comment I had the same result with the nailer and returned it, but I need one to finish my diy project and wanted to save time after I wasted so much time to finished and nail all trims. So Ibought this particular model Product #58-8436-0 and I'm very satisfied ! I finished all 4 bedrooms and hallway flooring and used to nail all trims around sll bedrooms and had no single missed...so far. the only worry I have is my compressor, I used this gun with my 1/4 hp 2 gallon.. lol very cheap air compressor .. I paid $ 79.99 it works for me for a small diy job.

Worst Mastercraft Product I Ever Purchased
I have purchased many Mastercraft products over the years as a do-it-yourselfer. I have always been satisfied with Mastercraft tools and never had a problem before.
This nailer has been the most frustrating tool I have ever used. I bought the nailer to install baseboard and quarter round in my house. Twice as many nails are in the garbage than in my baseboards. The tool constantly fails to fire a nail. When it does fire a nail there is a 70% chance it will jam. My baseboards are butchered because of this nailers misfires. I have tried several different pressure settings and different nails (including the ones it came with). Nothing has solved the problem.
Needless to say, I would not purchase this nailer, I wish I hadn't.

Excellent finish nailer
Bought this on sale for $169 (also included the Mastercraft 8G compressor & kit). Main reason for purchase was for baseboard & casing installation. Have went through hundreds of nails without any jams or marking of trim surfaces. Highly recommend this nailer

Excellent Nailer
I have other nailers and they each serve a different
purpose. This air nailer works very good in hard
woods, I have used it on two and a half inch thick
maple with no trouble at all. Its a little big for my
liking, but it does the job. I bought it on sale, great
product for the money!!

Gets a lot of use!
Had this nailer for over a year now, I use it a lot, takes different size nails and it sinks them flawlessly....."never had it jam", get it on sale and I highly recommend it.

Use the right nails
I had some problems with nail jamming until I
realized the 2" nails that come with the unit are
BRAD nails and need to be loaded into the
appropriate slot. After that the tool has performed
flawlessly. Reading one of the bad reviews
sounds like that may have been the problem they
had. Perhaps the user manual should mention
the difference between finish nails and brad nails
because a lot of people would be first time users
of this type of tool.

Not worth any amount of money
This unit is not worth the money even on sale. I purchased for $79.00 on sale and none of the units i have picked up and returned have worked. Latest one will drive one nail and then jam. This is the latest in a series of issues i have dealt with. Time to move on with the Cambell Hausfield unit. CTC usually makes quality products but i think they missed the mark on this one.
