Excellent sled but requires a minor modification
Bought one of these to replace an older similar sled for our kids. This is now their favourite sled.
Good price point. Good value for money.
Others have mentioned a problem with the brakes/steering. I have a solution to that problem.
The brake/steering levers don't lift up high enough because the red housing prevents them from going too high. Simply use a hand saw or a knife to cut the top of the housing off which allows the levers to be pulled higher, and hence allows the brake to dig deeper into the snow. That's all you have to do. It's just a small design-flaw that doesn't allow the lever to be pulled up high enough.
See attached photos.
Don't let the issue of poor braking and poor steering deter you from buying this sled. You can fix that very easily and very quickly without damaging the sled.

Fast, Comfortable, Stable, Light
This sled is very stable due to the runners and being the part of the sled that contacts the snow. It typically goes the farthest of any type single person sled on the hill. The seating part keeps your you know a few inches above the snow and prevents or lessens impacts as a result. The footrests and "hand brakes" allow for a secure seating position which is really good for my child with a disability. As others have mentioned the brakes don't work for steering or braking as they are far too small/short to have any resistance effect, they might work on a hard pack or ice. It is light enough to be carried and there is a edge all the way around that can be used for this and having to tie and untie the rope would is tedious. Very good overall for fast, straight line stable sledding.

Perhaps Quality has Changed
I purchased 2 of these several years ago (~5). One did crack on a VERY cold day, after a few years of enjoyment. The other one is still going strong. Perhaps the Quality has changed in recent years.

Broke on the second day
Base cracked while our 4 year old (40 lbs) was sledding on a medium sized hill (no bumps or trees were involved). Poor design! DO NOT BUY THIS!

Weak, lasted 20 min
Useless product. It lasted 20 minutes on the hill before we went over a couple bumps and the bottom shattered. I'm not a big guy (6ft, 180lbs) but that was enough to break it. Very disappointed. Clearly a product just for children (even though the shape and speed are targeted for older kids). Oh and the hand breaks don't work at all.

Fast Fun
Bought this for my three year old. He loves it! It goes fast down the hill, is tough enough for him to tip over and "crash" with. The rope and the handle is just right for his size. Overall a good value.

cheap...
It seemed like good sled, but right away it was hard to maneuver when going at fast speeds, and it flipped often...
and it cracked second day

Fast
Bought two for the kids a couple of years ago and still going strong. Fast and fun. Good quality for the money.
