Best Tent Ever
I originally bought a Broadstone tent but decided to take it back after reading some reviews. I've also had less than stellar experiences with other Broadstone products. I exchanged the Broadstone (and some extra cash) for this. As with all dome tents, it was a little tricky to set-up but got easier with practice. The all-covering rain fly with alcove was a very nice feature. During our 10 days of camping, I continued to find thoughtful and useful features such as reflective guy ropes and zipper grips. During a torrential downpour I was grateful for the full fly and tub floor design. Our camp-site flooded and a stream literally flowed under the tent! We remained completely dry inside. Only a trace of moisture was found under our air mattresses the next morning. It loses a star on durability as I failed to remove some stones from the footprint at one camp-site. This caused some slight wear on the floor under our son's air mattress. Proper site prep prevented that from recurring.

Only for easy camping
I took this tent treeplanting and after three days it was dunzo. Admittedly it was a solid three-day rain and wind storm, but one would like to be able to rely on their tent for a little bit of shelter. Poles snapped, the screen ripped, and all of our stuff was drenched. The fly cannot withstand strong rain, and the poles are junk. Because the tent is so high it does not do well in the wind at all!I'm sure it would be fine for some light camping, in a very sheltered area, but I would not recommed this to anyone who is serious about camping.

great tent!
We bought this tent last summer as we were looking for a tent with a full fly and also wanted a tent that was easy and fast to put up. We purchased this tent on sale and after a quick trial set up, we were set to go.
In the Maritimes, we must be prepared for rainy camping. We are life-long avid campers, so have pretty high expectations. This tent was great. Our first trip was for 10 days and didn't have any problems. I timed it to see how long it would take to set up by myself - 12 minutes. No frustrations and very easy.
With 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 queen size air mattresses, we still had room for our bags. Extra items were put in the storage area under the fly. With a good sized outdoor mat, the storage area was great to reduce grass & dirt from getting in the tent.
Fortunately, it didn't rain during our camping trips last summer other than light showers, so no water issues at all. Will see if we get such great weather again this year.
Now looking to get a small Roots tent for the teenagers to have their own space and we can enjoy this luxury tent for ourselves!

Don't Waste your money
I read the other reviews, and couldn't believe these people bought the same tent...maybe they work for Roots, or Cdn Tire.
I am an experienced camper, so I should have known better... where to start.
The fly completely covers all ventilation. Practically suffocated to death on a hot humid weekend.
Got caught in two rain storms and a river ran under the tent bottom both times due to the terrible engineering of the fly. It stops directly at the back of the tent causing all water to pool under the tent. If it wasn't for the air mattress both weekends in rain would have been ruined.
Vents on the floor at the front of the tent... what the heck were they thinking? Water pooled in the vents as well as sand. Don't bother with this one

Terrific tent!
I'm not an experienced camper, so I did my homework before buying my first tent ever. I got the tent on sale, but would feel no guilt about buying it at full price now that I've had it out a few times.
Two inexperienced campers (who, admittedly do read instructions - lol) were able to set up this tent in about 20 minutes. Teardown is similarly easy.
The first night we were camping, we were caught in a torrential downpour. It poured for HOURS. we were completely dry and comfortable. One of the best things about the tent is that the fly can be made to stand entirely away from the tent walls, so that even if you have campers who tend to roll into the walls while they sleep (like my daughter), you're not wicking water through the walls.
The details are clever, and they work.
My only issue with the tent is that the doors are difficult to zip/unzip one handed (as are most tent doors with a curved zipper)... not a deal breaker... just an annoyance.

Great Tent!
Tent was easy to setup with two people. The tent itself is mainly made of screen. This helped keep it cool inside during hot humid summer nights. Had no leaking when it rained. Ground sheet included is a bonus. Very nice having the covered front entrance during rain. Keeps mud from building in front of the tent and getting tracked in. Great place to leave your shoes.

Good Intermediate Tent
I usually buy higher end tents with aircraft aluminum poles, but it is difficult to buy such a large tent with some of the features of high end smaller tents.
Setup was super simple for anyone who has set up a dome tent before. The hardest part is getting the fly over it since it is such a big tent.
I did no water proofing as I expect a tent to repel water out of the box. On the camping trip I was on with this tent, it rained softly most of the night with a period or two of solid rain. We stayed bone dry inside without any sign of leaks.
This is such a spacious tent I wonder if you couldn't fit more than six people in it if you had to.
Comes with a perfectly sized ground sheet, which is a really nice touch.
The bag could use a little more space, since I prefer to have slack for a poor folding job if I ever am in a hurry. But if you roll it even fairly well it still fits okay.
The fly is a nice size for shoes and quite a bit more.
Overall I am happy to have upgraded to this tent for family trips with our new little one, since the three man Mountain Hardware tent would have been a bit overly cozy.

Great tent so far
I have only used the tent once (not including the practice setup in the yard) and it is the first tent I have owned but am an avid camper.
The fabric of the tent seems very thin and fragile to me, but will have to wait and see how it holds up. Hasn't been out in the rain or extreme wind so no comment there, but did spray it with the hose and the water beaded right off.
Comes with its own separate floor tarp (which does the trick, but is also pretty thin). I wouldn't make this your determining feature because your own tarp would work just as well, and right now I am able to get the tent and a 16'x20' tarp all into the carry case. Lots of space inside the tent, room divider is a cool feature. There are a few different storage pockets thoughout which is handy. And at 6'2" I have to bend my head ever so slightly when standing in the center of the tent.
Reason for the 4 star thus far is the lack of ventilation. The top half of the tent is all screen, but as soon as you put the fly on it covers it all up and you are left with two tiny little vents on the sides and the two windows in each of the doors. Will have to invest in one of those tent fans.
