Happy with our purchase
We used this tent for about 25 nights, maybe a bit more, and loved it. We've since moved up to a tent trailer, but are keeping this tent for friends/family to borrow, or in case we want to use it ourselves. The three of us (including a 6'4" guy) had plenty of room in here and we love the screen entrance. Perfect for leaving our shoes in, and as a result we didn't track much dirt into the main cabin.
The odd shape of the tent makes it a bit hard to peg down evenly - there's a bit of a learning curve there.
When we first purchased the tent, I followed the manufacturer's instructions and sealed all the seams. This tent has weathered some pretty severe weather, with the only leaking caused by where one of our mattresses was pushed up against the tent.
We gave away the sleeping bags and chairs as they didn't seem to be the highest quality and we had that equipment ourselves. We purchased this combo at half price and it was a good purchase that we are happy with.

RAIN DESTROYED THIS TENT
To start, we were satisfied with this tent, it's big, easy to set up and on a clear night did not overhead and was a comfortable sleep.
However, when the rain came, we were left scrambling to empty the tent to avoid any of our belongings from being ruined, EVERY SEAM LEAKED.
The entry area flooded and we had to leave our camping trip early (at 3:30am!)
One of the chairs also broke on the first day.
Disappointed with this combo, as I thought I was getting a decent deal.

Good Combo
This tent set is great. Many say the rain comes in the corner i used twice last year and 6 time this summer so far, used it in downpour condition for shelter while fishing and it stayed dry the all time. Water does come in from the screened area but that is to be expected. The screen may tear if poke with sharp objects(wood Branches etc.) Sleeping bags are good for summer to early fall weather. not recommended below 10`C. Chairs have been used by the 300lbs guy and have not broken yet. Although they are quite light in material. one yellow sleeves ripped a bit while pushing the rods inside. One needs to use caution while inserting the rods inside the sleeves. Great tent and combo. but not an expedition combo.

Never Again
I purchased this tent/combo last year as a up-grade from my pervious 6man tent (which I still love and use….just wanted something a little bigger) I was excited to try this tent out. I read the reviews and this tent sounded great…however it was my first time trying BROADSTONE…first mistake!
This tent comes with 2 poorly build chairs and not the best sleeping bags….( the chairs broke on my second trip out)
I have to admit this tent is a weird shape but tones of room/ height! Being 6’1, I was able to stand up in this tent (something I haven’t experienced before) and it came with a screen porch which I loved because it kept a lot of the bugs out before you step into the tent. Also the tent has two extra side doors for a quick way in and out (a total of 3 doors) set up was a walk in the park… alone it took me 25mins with help from a friend, it took us 15mins. (Not bad) However the rain-fly was a little tricky and it kinda felt like the rain-fly was a little too small for the tent….
So far this tent was turn out to be a great purchase!
Until it start to rain….then downpour all night….bring on the problems!
First off, the seams near the bottom of the tent started to leak badly. Then the 2 side doors started to leak an hour later….to the point where both leaks started to form puddles inside the tent (second mistake) Now lets talk about the screen porch, whoever designed this tent needs to go back to school or rethink their career choice. The rain-fly only covers about 20 percent of the screen porch, allowing water to easily flow in and pool right on the floor mat front of the entrance. (Third mistake) I had to make holes in the floor mat to allow the puddle to drain thus avoiding my warranty.
CLEARLY THIS TENT WASN’T TESTED….hands down a major problem. Just looking at the seams and how they cut the material, looks butchered. ( zig-zag cuts/ seams aren’t straight )
NO LOVE WENT INTO THE CONTRUCTION OF THIS TENT!!
If you want a cheap/poorly build/ poorly designed tent, this one is for you.
But if you want a problem free tent, stick with the brand name companies like Coleman’s/ Woods/ NorthFace/Columba/ Roots etc . It costs a little bit more but it’s well worth it!
However, if you DO decide to buy this tent I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU USING A TRAP!!!
Happy Camping!!!

Enjoyable Experience
The Tent: not as the picture shows, it has a weird shape, almost like a hexagon, but the shape made it easy to place objects (air mattress, cooler, clothes) and still have lots of room. Yes the tent leaked a little in the corners, but that is the same with any Canadian Tire tent. Very high, can easily stand to change. I like having three doors, especially when it was hot out, you could open all the doors and get a nice breeze. Overall, very nice tent.
The Chairs: I will be honest the chairs sucked, they broke right away, but it didn't bother us much because we didn't buy this for the chairs we bought it for the tent.
The Sleeping Bags: like others have said, not for when it is cold out, other than that they are pretty good sleeping bags.
Front Screened Section: it was a very good idea! I love this section, if you have lots of bugs out you can just sit in there and still enjoy the outdoors, it protects you from light rain fall. But don't leave your shoes in this screened section when it is raining really bad, the rain gets into the section and your shoes will get soaked, but it is still a really good idea.
Set Up: the set up was amazing, I had no problem setting up the tent by myself because I was the first one at the site. Every stick and sleeve is color coated for quick and easy set up, the first time i set it up it probably took 15 minutes, now that I know where everything goes it takes me 5 minutes.
I would really recommend this tent to anyone! I have also had many compliments from fellow campers about this tent everytime I go camping. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Broadstone 8 person tent
We purchased this tent this summer and had the opportunity to use it as few times. Overall I would give this tent a very good rating.
The fold-up chairs are adequate but we already had our own so wasn't really a concern. For larger adults, the chairs would be a little snug so better for smaller adults or teenagers. The sleeping blankets were okay too but best used during warm summer nights as opposed to cooler evenings particularly in the Spring or Fall.
The tent itself was very good. I recommend putting it up in your yard first as a trial run as the instructions also suggest. I have had a number of tents in my time so wasn't difficult to put up. If you had to put it up for the first time at a campsite in the dark, it may be a little difficult so suggest trying it ahead of time especially if it is your first tent.
The tent is large and easily would fit eight people although we never actually tried. It does have a bit of an odd shape and not completely square or rectangular. More of an octagon shape but not exactly that either. This made the first time putting it up a little longer as not certain which end goes where. The poles are color coded to the tent sleaves so easy to figure out. It goes up fairly easily and not hard for one person to do once you get the hang of it. We really liked being able to stand up in the tent and lots of room to move around. Also came with some hanging pockets to put keys, glasses, and other small items out of the way. The tent has three opening for good air ventalation plus the top half.
We didn't have any problems with rain getting into the tent although some reviews said they did. You can buy a bottle of silicon spray for extra rain protection if you need. The tent is rain resistent as mentioned by the manufacturer so don't expect it to be rainproof.
This is a large tent so you will need a large tenting site to set it up properly and room away from a campfire. With the shape of the tent the way that it is, we had to move it around sometimes until it best fits the campsite particularly if there is a fit pit and table that are fixed to the ground.
The front screened section is also good to put things like shoes without them having to go in the tent itself. The top cover that goes over the tent provides sufficient protection from overnight dew and light rain. As the cover does not go completely over the sides, you will will get water coming into that part if it rains. It was designed though that you can sit in this area so wouldn't make sense if the cover enclosed the sides or else you couldn't see out.
The bag that it came in is very sturdy and makes it easy to put everything into it and store in your vehicle. With the tent, poles, and chairs, it does weight a few pounds overall. I took the chairs out and just stored them seperately.
Overall this is a very good tent and would recommend it to others. We purchased it on sale which made it an extra bargain.

Would recommend this tent
Got this tent on sale in July and used it on a camping trip in August. Hadn't been camping in years so did a practice run in the yard first. All the parts were included and It wasn't hard to setup Even easier to take down. I found after we put our single air beds in though, it would only sleep 4 adults comfortably. We did get some rain one night but the tent didn't leak at all. The sleeping bags aren't lined with a warm material for cooler nights, but overall very happy with this purchase.

I wish I could recommend it but.....
This tent is very easy to put up. And it had lots of room for my family of 4 and the dogs' crate. We loved the vestibule, especially since our boys are 5 & 7.
However, we had two issues that have us taking this tent back. First, the chairs are awful. One of ours broke within 20 minutes of a 125lb person sitting in it. We camped beside friends who bought the same tent last year but hadn't used it until now and their chair broke as well. No one wanted to sit in the other two so they may have broken as well if used.
The second issue was leakage. I know some said the tent does not leak and maybe that is the case for light rain, but we had a downpour and the tent quite definitely leaked. We had the fly on correctly on both tents and both tents had leaks in the corners. Both my sons sleeping bags were wet in the morning.
Mostly I think the fly was inadequate and I would be willing to even try sealing it with more silicon or other ideas if it weren't for the chairs. To me that shows poor quality and who knows how that might show up in the actual tent if we used it more. So I am planning on returning the tent and I do not want a replacement with the same kind. Not even sure I want to to purchase one form CT again.

Camping in a bag
Traditionally I have purchased smaller tents for my family camping trips. This year however, we had several new additions to our excoursion. As is the general rule, this eight person tent housed five of my family members and myself comfortably. I give this product four stars instead of five in the durability section due to some light wear on the apex of the fly. This is of course made acceptable by the considerable savings I recieved upon purchase. Camp chairs were of suitable durability, and the sleeping bags were cozy to the point of luxuriousness. Lastly, the addition of well placed internal storage pockets and integrated screen tent make this my best purchase of the season.
