Very strong
Put out a lot of light and very durable. It was dropped in the driveway and the top half sheeted off. I put the lens back in, aligned the top with the bottom and turned it hard. I actually stayed together. It looks as good as new.

Battery Life
web site says 32 hr. on high for battery life. Coleman says 16 hr. Half the claimed run time on web page stats! C.T. needs to correct this unless they know something Coleman does'nt.

Not the toughtest but bright as a Sun
I have bought new battery powered lanterns each of the last two years, and both times disappointed. Either they were shoddy quality or didn't light up a satisfactory area or both. After giving up on one and breaking one right out of the box I think I may have found my lantern.
Bought it yesterday and took it out to the backyard after dark. Man was I happy! It lit up my entire backyard, which is roughly the size of a campsite more than adequately.
The plastic body seems very light (the lantern itself is paper light) and I am somewhat concerned about it's build quality, but I tend to be careful with my equipment so it's all good for me. It's definitely not the most rugged lantern out there.
It's also massive, and takes EIGHT D size batteries. I slapped in my Energizer rechargeable batteries and it did great. Tonight I test the battery life but I think because of the LED bulbs I am not going to be disappointed. So far, I would definitely suggest this lantern to friends looking for one, and I will, should any of them ask.
