Escort Screen House, 12 x 12-ft
Bought this on sale and was really excited about using it. But when we tried to set it up, we couldn't because of the gravely campsite.
You need to be able to hammer in pegs to hold it up, the pole system is flawed, it used a balancing act to setup: Two poles on either side, angled inwards.
It's easily toppled over without pegging.
Had to return it.
Pros: good size
Cons: Hard to set up, unusable on gravel/rocky terrain. Useable ONLY on grass.
I can see it used for grassy parks and home back yards if it's not too windy. Hopeful if you have two or more people to set it up.

Worst piece of camping equipment we've ever bought
This is a terrible product. Difficult to set up alone (poles need to be balanced just so). The tent couldn't stay up without pegs, although the instructions say that using stakes is optional. It was always on the verge of toppling over. The poles feel flimsy too. I suppose if you were going to set it up at the beginning of the summer & leave it up it might be okay, but for weekend camping this thing is a nightmare. I would NEVER recommend this product to anyone.

Works Well for What It Is Intended To Do
First of all, this is a screen house, not a rain or wind shelter. I set it up by myself. Every complaint I read in previous reviews I attribute to not reading the instructions and not understanding the intent. The roof does not keep moisture out. It will seep through. It will not easily stand up to strong wind, or even mild wind. Breeze? OK.
If you try to tighten the guide lines too much, it will pull the tent out of shape and sections will not be on the ground. This one keeps bugs out as well as anything I have ever used short of a unit with a floor attached.
Lots of room, and very light and small to pack. Get a cheap tarp to keep rain out.

Roof Support Poles break easily
Tent wasn't too difficult to set up - looked great. Went for a walk, came back - tent had collapsed. The 2 fiberglass poles that hold up the roof had broken at the ends. It wasn't terribly windy, no idea what happened. Must just be poor quality.

The cost can’t be beat and it is a VERY simple shelter which makes it very light to carry!
Rain can come in the sides as it is just screening however rain from above is kept out.
The start of set up is super fast however you do need to secure all of the ties and sometimes you need to make a few adjustments along the way.
We got this and set it up right away and could see that the other review said it didn’t touch the ground but you just needed to figure out how the ties and poles held everything and it can be lowered to touch ground.
I would buy it again for what we needed but if you looking to keep out wind or water you need something with sides which will cost you another $100.
As long as you know what you need and what this shelter offers you can’t go wrong!

A great value item
I purchased an escort tent 2 yrs ago and have been very happy with quality and construction. So when I saw this screen tent I went for it. Construction is good, easy to put up but you will need 2 people to do it. Other reviews point out gaps between bottom and ground, you just need to ensure your stakes are placed accordingly so not to stretch the screen too much. Very pleased with the quality for the $ you can spend a lot more on a screen tent but as you read other reviews more $ does not equal better quality. A great buy!

Well I read the reviews and was not sure if I should buy this, then I read a womens review and thought well she liked it and said it was easy to put up, (being a woman she probably read the instuctions first...and she was right!..very easy to assemble and served its purpose we sat 5 people inside and a folding table, we sat and ate in comfort while the million misquitoes ate outside!!!!

Just Not Worth It
Poles seem to be to long for unit. Sides do not reach to the ground so every bug imaginable has free access. Screen pulled apart and the corner bracket pulled from the seam when it got windy. It did keep a minor rain storm out, though the water pooled on top.

Not worth it
Impossible to set up on hard surface. Even on soft surface takes some skill and at least 2 people.

Worth the sale price, easy to put up, fits back into the bag easily, but NOT water tight. Had to put a tarp over to keep the rain and dew from seeping in.
