Worth the money!
We wanted a cooking stove that was cheaper and easy to use! Butane lasts for quite a bit and it lights every time! We are going to buy the grill by the same brand because it is so convenient! Have not had one problem with it and have had it for 2 years!

Great for packing with emergency kit
I have used this stove many times, it works well, easy to use, and does the job! Always have a good stock of fuel cannisters handy!

I love this stove
This was a great purchase. It fits in a back pack and there is no hooking up a tank every time, just put the can in and your good to go. Boils water in a large coffee pot in minutes. Camping, boating or hunting, this little rig will always be in my pack!

Handy to Have
Bought this stove for camping, super handy to have in case of emergencies as well. Easy to set up and store. Butane can lasted a good amount of time during camping trip. Down side is it took a while to boil water but we just started boiling water for dishes at the start of the meal so it is ready by the time you are done eating.

Good Emergency Stove
Handy stove for home emergencies. In the outdoors it loses a lot of heat in the breeze. I've tried using stove several times on various outings. Takes excessive time to cook. Waste of time to use for Winter outdoor cooking

Butane Stove with Carry Case Review
Now that my camping seasons over and I've had a good chance to test this unit out, I thought it best to give my priase.
Starting the summer out, I was getting ready to go on my first camping trip. Naturally one of the things I usually do is test the equipment. Among those things was my coleman kerosene stove. Unfortunately this year it was now going to reside in the garbage as it had extended the life of it's use.
Coming to canadian tire, I fell across this unit. Not liking the idea of wasted propane tanks I have to chuck with the coleman stoves, this looked like a much more eco friendly solution, and having past experience with butane it would probably do a better job. This unit did not disappoint.
The unit came with a cheap but still reliable carry case, easy to follow instructions, and a reversable stove top burner. For the money this is a great unit. It did in fact boil water faster than my previous kerosene unit, and the flame was sharp and strong. The butane canister purchased along with the unit lasted 4 camping trips and about 8 cooking sessions. I would deffinetly recomend wiping down all the burner assembly parts very well as there was quite a bit of metal fleck on mine that could obstruct the outlet.
So for power outages, camping trips, and car stops, this is the perfect solution. This along with my mini coal bbq proved it was all I will ever need for camping from now on.

Excellent stove for power outages
I was absolutely thrilled with this product. I have had mine for 4 or 5 years now and love it. I keep it on hand in a closet close to the kitchen. When the power goes out, I pull it out. There is no gas smell when cooking and it's safe to use inside on the counter. I think that everyone should have one on hand. Living in Northern Ontario our power goes out quite often in the spring and fall of the year. The one I had bought years ago didn't have a case so I bought a case from Home depot in the tool section. I put the stove and a couple of the fuel bottles inside. I have since bought a second one and I bought one for my mother too.
I definitely would recommend that you buy one.
I have never used mine for camping however, that's what a camp fire is for isn't it????

My first choice for car-camping
I have just about every camping stove you can think of - white naptha, propane, alcohol - and four of these butane stoves. For summer camping in North America I like them best.
Besides being ideal for fondues at home and as a back-up in case of power failure - in my opinion these make an ideal camping companion if car camping.
Granted they're a little big for back packing, but a car trunk has fewer limitations and these have several advantages:
A fuel canister lasts a surprisingly long amount of time - about four times the length as a propane tank on some other compact propane stoves I've tried.
Butane and wood alcohol are the two safest fuels to use indoors - propane and white gas both generate dangerous levels of canbon momoxide. Propane stoves are actually used inside in major restaurants for fondues.
Fuel storage is simple, easy and foolproof - and there's no chance that a napha leak will ruin food, clothing or smell up the car.
The large base makes this stable enough to use (with care) in a tent when its raining, and easy to use on a picnic table. I've used this to prepare coffee, omlettes, pancakes, trout, mussels and oatmeal. Temperature control is quite precise and easily adjustable.
The unit does need to be sheltered from the wind - but thats not because of a tendency for the flame to blow out - thats never been an issue. Its because the pot in use on top of the stove has a tendency to cool off in the wind and to avoid using the stove on maximum and burning the food - a wind screen is recommended. And I'd say that about ANY camping stove!
The only criticism I have is that those butane cartridges aren't always available in some remote areas so better bring enough for the trip duration just in case.

Excellent Indoor Product
We own two of these butane stoves. It is great as a backup if the power goes out to boil water or cook something. We used with Vision Cookware (see through pots) for meat, poultry and fish fondus (seperate pot and burner for fish). the upfront temperature control offers percise flame adjustment. Flame and heat level was stable with the large butane tanks, easy and quick setup and cleanup. I'm sure you will be very pleased with this product.
