I bought this bike a month ago and it always noisy
I bought the first model and returned it because it was giving a noise on the pedals axe. so they gave me another one and guess what the same noise is coming from the same place when i am on the road biking, this bike is garbage. CCM is garbage. So the repair guy didnt know from where the noise is coming even when we tried it he heard the noise. People don't even buy this bike even if its on sale

Very good entry level road bike
Bought this yesterday, had to make many adjustments after i got home, which is perfectly fine. Besides, how are the assemblers supposed to know my preferences!?!?!?
Good light aluminum frame, Solid ride and Great price! Only problems I noticed was the grip shifters are a bad idea and tires need to be inflated before every use (this is pretty normal though).

Excellent bike
This is an excellent bike for those who are looking to have a road bike experience on a limited budget. Bought this bike three years ago and had it stolen a year ago. I bought another one yesterday at an unbelievable price of $219.99 ($150.00 below the normal cost). I agree with the other reviewers that the bike is a little bit heavy, but where in Canada can you get such a decent bike for the same cost? My advise though is that you need to check the bike first in store before you purchase it. They can make some minor adjustments which the other reviewers are complaining about such as loose brakes, gear adjustments etc before you take it home. I repeat again, please check the bike thoroughly before you take it home!

Not even decent.
Bought it for $210. Don't bother with this, get something else.
- Rear tire released all air within 4 km of riding
- Front sprockets are not even. Some highs some low, pretty shoddy work.
- Seat is uber uncomfortable.
Returned it already.

Rode it Victoria to Edmonton
Good bike for my first touring attempt, I have no doubts that it could have gone sea to sea. I only made one real change to the bike by changing the freewheel to one with an ultimate granny gear. Didn't have to walk a single hill over the rockies! Fully loaded, front and back panniers. The front handle adjusts upwards by an inch or so. There's a line that says "Max height" when you get as far as it should go. I was lucky to realize this after only a day of travel. The twist shifters are a little annoying as there is little room to mount lights or handlebar bags, but the price can't be beat. I could have actually gone across the country and if I had any problems, take it to the nearest CT for warranty!

great bike for the price
I bought the medalist road bike 3 years ago (looks exactly the same but they now call them the ccm road bikes. I just love this bike. A bit heavier then your average road bike but to be honest, I feel safer . The wheels are a bit thicker but again I don't mind that just incase I hit the gravel.
I went today to see if the bike has went on sale and I got the bike for 210 plus tax. This is an excellent price. Even the regular price of 349 isn't bad. Because I had the same bike, I kind of knew what I was getting. If you are looking for a basic road bike, this one won't disappoint. The only issue is that all the bikes have the same size frames so therefore I don't know if you can ride this bike if you are 6 feet or higher. Also, I am light (118 pounds) so this might also be the reason why I have got a lot of wear from the other bike.

Depends on what you are looking for
I bought this bike 2 weeks ago. I was not looking for a decent road bike because I don't have too much to spend since I'm still a student. The price of this road bike is really good to me. I used to bicycle long distance trips with a mountain bike, and this summer I just wanted to try a road bike for commuting to work, so this is the one that I would start with. I bought it for original price for $360 (the cheapest one I could find in a local bike store is $899, which is 54cm in length).
Other reviews are right, this bike needs to be adjusted, So I highly recommend to those who know how to tune up a bike. I spent 2 hours tuning up the bike right after I bought it. And Honestly I didn't like the color on this bike. So I painted to black and white. Now it looks great. So far, It has 500+km on it, works pretty good.
Drawbacks I found on my bike:
1.It could not shift to 3x4 and 3x3 for my bike. I could tune it but I don't bother because I usually use 3x(5+) on flat trail and 3x(2-) on a uphill.
2. The brakes are not quite good, you have to press hard to stop. I think I will change the breaking rubbers sometimes.
3.It is heavier than the professional ones, but it's not a problem for me at all, I can still lift it with one hand with ease.
4. It's wheels are little bit wider than normal ones, but it's good to me because 60% of the bicycle trails are not paved in this city, it's not a problem at all for me to commute on sandy trails every day.
5.It's probably not very durable, I would say it would last another 2 or probably 3 years. At that time, I will buy a professional one.
Generally, it a good road bike to start with. I have a smile on my face each time I ride it on the trails. In 2 or 3 years from now, I will have a professional one and probably dislike each functionality of this bike(sorry), but I don't regret my purchase.

You get what you pay for
I bought this bike a couple years ago on sale (something like $179.99) for commuting around campus at school. While it seemed like a "good deal" at the time, I'll list the problems/issues I've come across since I bought it, some of which have been noted by other reviewers. All in all its taught me how to adjust/fix just about everything on a bike which I guess I'm thankful for.
-700x28c tires are bigger than most standard road bikes (usually 25c or 23c)
-alumnium shavings/valve hole punch out not removed from inside the rim. Appears as a "rattle" in the wheel and takes some effort to get out. Shavings will lead to flat tires if not cleaned out.
-axle and bottom bracket bearing cones much too tight (will wear out the bearings quickly if not adjusted)
-7 speed freewheel: most modern bikes have moved to *at least* 8 speed cassettes. Had to replace the freewheel after about a year and a half
-grip shifters are awkward on a road bike/drop bars. They're most likely there because it keeps the cost of the bike down
-older style threaded headset (compared to newer threadless style). Stem attachment to the handlebars uses a spacer which, combined with the grip shifters, leaves little space for accessories (cycling computer, lights, etc.)
-poor quality drivetrain components meaning you'll constantly be adjusting derailleurs
Overall, you can't beat the price (on sale) if you're buying it for commuting, a bike for school or for very occasional cycling. But if you're looking for a decent road bike, wait for your LBS (local bike shop) to have a sale and spend a few more bucks on an entry level road bike; it'll save you time, money, and frustration in the long run.
